The first floor encompasses an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a vaulted and beamed ceiling, where you can unwind together after each adventure. Find a great movie on the TV, play games together or simply lose yourselves in the views. Prepare homecooked meals in the kitchen area and dine together in comfort at the table. The bedrooms are both on the ground floor. These include a double and a super-king, with zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as two singles instead, if discussed in advance. There is also a family bathroom down here. Stroll around the grounds, have lunch out in the shared picnic area on sunny days and challenge each other to pool and table tennis matches in the games room.

Spend time in Barmouth, with its beautiful beach and traditional seaside attractions. Try paddle boarding or book a place on a dolphin-spotting boat trip while you are here. Head into Harlech to see the famous castle, potter in the independent shops and enjoy the sandy beach there. Plan a day out to the colourful, Italianate village of Portmeirion, 13.5 miles away.
