Bron Castell is a welcoming family holiday cottage in the historic village of Harlech, in the heart of Snowdonia. With stunning views of Harlech Castle, the Royal St David's Championship Golf Course, the sand dunes and the sea beyond, it provides the perfect base for exploring North Wales. Best of all, the village's shops, restaurants, cafés and bars are just a two-minute stroll away.
The farmhouse-style kitchen is full of character, featuring a charming baby blue Rayburn cooker alongside a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave and washing machine. For added convenience, you'll also find a Ninja air fryer, slow cooker and electric hot plate to suit all your cooking needs.
A traditional farmhouse dining table and chairs provide the perfect spot to enjoy meals, while the CD player lets you listen to your favourite music as you cook or dine. On warmer days, simply open the stable door to let the fresh sea breeze flow through and enjoy the feeling of al fresco dining from the comfort of the kitchen.
The spacious sitting room is the perfect place to relax, with a cosy log burner to keep you warm on cooler evenings. Settle in with the Smart TV, or enjoy a quiet night with the selection of DVDs, board games and books available for guests.
The first floor is home to two spacious bedrooms, both featuring king-size beds and beautiful sea views. One bedroom benefits from an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and wash basin.

If you fancy venturing further afield, Snowdonia offers breathtaking scenery, fantastic attractions, spectacular walking routes and plenty of outdoor activities. The hardest part will be deciding how to fit everything into your stay!
Situated in a magnificent position between the mountains and the sea, the delightful small town of Harlech is dominated by its majestic 13th century castle. Harlech Castle is recognised as the most impressive of all those built in North Wales by Edward I and has World Heritage status. The town is very popular with golfers, who come to enjoy the famous Royal St. Davids course, whilst the beautiful sandy beach is wonderful for family fun and long walks. Harlech offers an excellent variety of amenities including some good quality restaurants, whilst the whole of the Snowdonia National Park, together with the sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay, are all within easy reach.
Accommodation
Accommodation includes two king-size bedrooms, with an alternative twin attic room available on request.
There is a family bathroom with a bath and shower over, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail, as well as an en-suite shower room with a shower, toilet and wash basin.
The well-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave and washing machine, along with a charming farmhouse dining table and a CD player.
The cosy sitting room features an open fire, Smart TV, and comfortable seating.
The cottage is heated by an immersion heater with additional electric heaters throughout.
The main bedroom features a Freeview TV with a DVD player, and complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the cottage.
A travel cot, high chair and fixed cot in the attic bedroom are provided for families travelling with young children.
One dog is welcome, with a second small dog accepted for an additional charge of £20.
Bed linen and towels are provided, although guests are kindly asked to bring their own towels for the beach.
The cottage is just a short walk from Harlech's shops, cafés, restaurants and other amenities.
Outside, the garden offers lovely sea views, making it a perfect place to relax.
Please note that the property is situated on a steep road, and there are steep steps leading from the parking area to the front garden.

The home is very spacious and well equipped, and perfect for us 2 couples, but can easily accommodate more people. We mastered the Rayburn and cooked up wonderful meals with local fish and meat, and sitting by the open log fire in the sitting room was a perfect way to end our day. We'd love to come back and stay again.

Half way up / down a steep hill. Up to the castle and shops, down to the train station and wonderful walk to beach. Views from house are fabulous. Great space inside with comfortable lounge where I often sat on the window seat looking out. The kitchen and eating area is good too. Raeburn took a bit of getting used to, but kitchen is well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher and plenty of pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. Upstairs, 2 large bedrooms with more amazing views. Plenty of storage. We chose room with slightly harder bed and ensuite shower room, but there is also a bathroom with bath and shower next to other bedroom. Two large attic rooms up another steepish flight of stairs, but we didn't use these. Bron Castell was warm and comfortable. People with mobility issues may find the stairs more challenging and the walk from the house is fairly steep, but we managed it. The steps at the back to the courtyard seating area are worth doing to sit and admire the view. Parking for 2 cars on grass at the back beyond rear gate. We loved our stay here and loved walking out and returning to a welcoming, warm home. It's not immaculate, but it is an old Welsh cottage with lots of character. We can't wait to return. Thankfully, I married an engineer and he managed to make it work. I recommend to test the hot tap before the guest arrives. Moreover, we did not get the shower to work in the bathroom closest to the castle.
