Dating back to the 19th century, this sweet and quirky cottage provides fantastic holiday accommodation for couples enjoying a romantic break in a beautiful part of Snowdonia. Situated in the historic coastal village of Llwyngwril, the cheerful, single-level retreat has ample space for two guests, and has a range of original features including flagstone flooring, a welcoming wood burner in a period fireplace, exposed stonework, high ceilings and uneven walls. Full of character, this charming and traditional property has been decorated in fresh, relaxing shades to make a cosy base for walkers discovering the area’s glorious coast and magnificent countryside.
Entering this delightful cottage, a step leads down into the cosy, beautifully decorated lounge/diner which has a high-beamed ceiling, stone flooring, a Smart TV and a wood burner set in a stone surround. The dining table is over by the window, perfect for romantic meals. A few steps lead up into a small, stylishly arranged and fully equipped kitchen. Further steps lead up to the leisurely shower room and the two coastal-themed bedrooms: a cheerful double and a cosy single, each with a dressing table. Outside the cottage a bistro table and chairs offer a relaxing spot for a morning coffee before you head out to discover this magical area.
Perfect for exploring the southern reaches of Snowdonia, Llwyngwril is a friendly village close to a pebble beach and boasts miles of tranquil walks inland and along the coast. Following the coastal path north, the bustling seaside resort of Barmouth sits at the mouth of the Mawddach Estuary (16 miles). To the south is the pretty coastal town of Tywyn (9.5 miles). Other local attractions for keen walkers, cyclists, climbers, and nature lovers include Cader Idris, the Talyllyn steam railway, Dolgoch Waterfall, and Craig Yr Aderyn, all within 17 miles.
