A spacious and welcoming detached house with outstanding facilities including a heated, covered outdoor swimming pool, in Ruabon, 6 miles from Llangollen. Furnished and decorated to a high standard, this fabulous holiday home near Llangollen is a real treasure. The property is accessed through electronic gates, and is set in over an acre of gardens, with the remains of the original Offa’s Dyke ridge and a babbling stream, Afon Eitha, running through them. Internally, this Llangollen holiday home offers a variety of bedrooms, with two king-size rooms, one with a balcony and en-suite, and two super king-size rooms, plus a triple bedroom which is ideal for children. This Llangollen holiday home also offers two family bathrooms, one with a 3-person electric sauna. There is a large dining room with a separate breakfast area for informal dining, a spacious sitting room with an electric piano and 50” TV benefiting from Sky Movies, and a fantastic snooker room with full-size snooker table, and further seating area. Outside this Llangollen cottage is a fabulous air-source heated swimming pool, plus a shower room/changing block with gym stepper machine. The gardens surround this Llangollen holiday home, ensuring privacy and offering several excellent seating areas with a good selection of recliners and a stylish hammock bed. Take a walk across the lawns to the stream and there is a delightful seating area under a sycamore tree on the banks of the stream, where you can sit, enjoy the tranquillity and listen to the waters running by. There is access across the road to a further 5 acres of private meadowland, leading to 15 acres of public woodland trails, ideal for walkers, dog lovers and horse riders. With numerous activities nearby including walking on Offa’s Dyke, several golf courses and historic sites such as Chirk Castle, the Llangollen railway and watersports on Lake Bala (25 miles), this superb Llangollen cottage will appeal to golfers, families, walkers and those just wanting a superb leisure destination, all year long.

Ruabon is a community on the outskirts of Wrexham. The town of Wrexham offers a number of shops, pubs and restaurants, whilst nearby are the National Trust owned Erddig and Chirk Castle. Within driving distance is the historic city of Chester, the North Wales coast and Snowdonia National Park.

If you have an electric car that you bring to the property please let the owner know beforehand. We will keep a record of the meter reading before and after your holiday and if you do charge your car using the domestic charger ( the usual 3 pin plug from the mains) we would have to charge you at the rate my current electricity provider charges us.

    We had a couple of maintenence issues, one resolved quickly but no reaction to the other. One of the main reasons for booking was the heated pool. Unfortunately it was cold from day 2 which we communicated but no attempt to resolve the problem. ⁹
