What our customers say about their holidays

Fabulous place.
As soon as you drive through the gate at Reybridge house you get the wow factor, its stunning. Shortly after arrival we were greated by the property owner. Chris is a local dairy farmer and one of the nicest people you will have the pleasure to meet, he gave us some excellent recommendations for the local area and then showed us how to operate the hot tub, fire panel & kitchen appliances (fortunately we did not need the fire panel) The hot tub was checked decreatly everyday by either Chris or Georgina to ensure the chemical balance was correct We were a party of 11 so had plenty of room to spread out around the house and enjoy all the different spaces. The top floor had 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom & was great for the younger ones as there is a snug area with sofa's TV, video games console & plenty of board games for all ages. The middle floor had 3 large bedrooms and a smaller bedroom along with 2 bathrooms and a shower room. The last bedroom was on the ground floor and overlooked the garden. Everyone said that there beds were very comfortable. The kitchen area is very moden and well equipped with absolutely everything you need. I think my wife's favourite thing in the house was the shoe warmer in the boot room. The gardens are lovely and spread around the entire house with a large garden seating area and selection of garden games in the shed. To the left of the property there is a cow shed and on the right there is an equestrian centre and the lacock dairy ice cream shop. A short walk away is the charming village of lacock and it feels like a step back in time. Overall we had a wonderful time at reybridge house and would 100% recommend this property.

Everything was as expected and any comments seem like I am nitpicking (I probably am), but feel they should be mentioned.
Cheap and easy to fix, but some furniture really needs replacing. A drawer front fell off in one of the bedrooms, the chairs at the dining table have seen better days.....several were missing backs. I'm not sure if there's a knack to it, but we struggled to close the blinds on the skylights so left them closed once we'd managed it. We loved the quirkiness and it brought back many memories from childhood.......loved that there were many original features still in the building from the pulpit, to the hymn book and bible. Whilst I appreciate it is an old building, it would benefit from some high level cleaning as there were lots of cobwebs, though not sure how you go about this. The games room was a BIG hit, the piano and table tennis in particular though may be worth getting a piano tuner in. Beds were comfy, HUGE plus points there. Also, may not mean much to many, but I absolutely loved the well equipped kitchen, especially having sharp knives, a good sized oven, and plenty of cookware. There's not a garden or any outdoor area to speak of but that wasn't a problem for us - the games room made up for this, as well as the park/tennis courts across the road. We did need to contact Roger at one point but can't fault the communication, he replied and was brilliant. If you're looking for base that is quirky, has plenty of space, and a games room to keep the teens happy, this is definitely the place for you. We had a great week, thank you!

Rupert was the perfect host.
He responded to emails and messages promptly and helpfully so thanks very much. The house has everything you could need - no need to bring a blender, a mixer, wine stopper, an icemaker ... the list is endless! The kitchen is kitted out well with John Lewis crockery and there are even herbs, spices and cake making ingredients. The freezer compartment in the fridge is not large but the local shop across the road has everything most people could want - including Calpol for babies! The washing machine and dryer work well so no need to pack loads of clothes. The cottage is actually a large house with quirky floors and characteristics which show why it's a listed building! The heating works very well and there's never an issue with a lack of hot water. There's space outside to use the quality charcoal BBQ The beds are firm. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived and we found places to store our food. Decoration - yes a farm vet has clearly left his make and had fun with cows and chickens featuring on mats, serviettes, eg cups etc! The laminated walks were really useful and allowed us to walk from the house to see the area in more detail. The helpful red folder was used many times so thank you.

This is an absolutely wonderful cottage.
Not only in a beautiful village, with picture postcard vistas, it is extremely well presented and equipped, even if you had the full quota of guests, which is not always the case. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and very much hope we will visit again or even the smaller cottage next door. Close to Salisbury, Wilton, Stonehenge, Old Sarum and Amesbury and plenty a bit further afield too. Really, the best of all worlds, countryside walks, city history and heritage. Highly recommended. Would be ideal for a family get together. Marvellous for Christmas. Due to age and layout of cottage there are some low ceilings, varying levels and narrow staircase. This is is only important if you have people in your party that may find it tricky. I would recommend asking if it is likely to be an issue for you. That said my 83 year old mother in law managed ok, carefully! Has downstairs loo which makes life easier. Lovely pub, just refurbished and reopened and community shop, post office/café was very handy. Don't miss Reddish House, former home of Sir Cecil Beaton/Toyah Wilcox and Robert Fripp, all but next door.

We stayed at Reybridge House for a family reunion for 4 days.
My only complaint is that we wish we had booked a longer time away! The house is beautiful, and a lovely mix between old & new. Kitchen was really well stocked, and the beds were really comfy. Despite being an old house, the showers were amazing. With the front gate closed, the garden is fully enclosed & we loved having a hot tub & covered area for outdoor socialising. Georgina was great at communicating with us throughout & check in process was simple. The ice creams & horses next door were a real bonus. It was the ideal spot for spending quality time with family but with ample options for walking & exploring Lacock, which is an easy walk away through the fields. It's worth noting that dogs are only allowed on the ground floor & there is one GF bedroom, but there is a kennel & small run in the garden. We found that the fire alarm was pretty responsive & managed to set it off twice by burning food, but instructions for resetting it were clear. Would definitely aim to come back if we were planning a similar break.
