What our customers say about their holidays

On arrival was informed heating was turned off but told it got colld at night ?
?. we could however acess 15mins of heat from the electric fire by presing a button. On going to bed the sheets and duvet felt damp and cold and the mattress was cheap lumpy and well past its sell by date. all the other beds where the same. Dog Friendly poroperty ??. Once we found the information book we read the entry on dogs. No pet is to left alone in the property for any time and we would be asked to leave on return without a refund if we did. This is rediculous how can you take the dog everywhere with you. Free on site kennels didnt exist full of bins and rubbish. front and back doors patched up with fence panels and not painted. single armschair base had collapsed. shower curtain fell in the bath at first use [cheap extending thing. toilet loose on floor. Sky channels dont exist its freeview only which has a poor signal and breaks up all the time. The remote dosnt work on all the essential buttons so had to keep getting up and manually do it. Whole place just looks run down and skimping on the heat gives the place a musty smell. This cottage has no views of open countryside like the others a fact missing from the description in fact the windows look onto brick walls and are so small you have to have lights on in the daytime. Front Garden has no fence at one end so dog cant be let out without supervision. At just short of £500 for 3 nights expected better check out 9am amd check in 4pm is a bit strong too. British holiday in live all the beaches seem shut to dogs £45 in parking for 3 days. going abroad next year after 40 years of holidaying in the UK enoughs enough. I have pics to back up all i have said in this review. Although i,m sure it will be removed

Just returned from a fantastic 6 day stay at Coach House Cottage in Ingleton.
On arrival we were met by Lisa and Ryan, the owners who live in the main house next door. A lovely couple who were always on hand to assist, but never intrusive. There was also a nice welcome pack. The cottage is very cosy, with its quirky layout, which is long and narrow with little elevation changes to the three separate bedrooms. The kitchen-diner is on the lower level at the back and is approached by a fairly steep staircase. The kitchen whilst quite compact, is very nice and new, with everything that you could possibly need. Decent mobile reception and WIFI signal is fine and free. There are terrestrial TVs in the lounge and each bedroom, but can't comment as didn't use them. The rear patio is a beautiful sun trap with new furniture, hot tub, barbeque and great views of the river and the old viaduct. We had Roxy our very inquisitive Staffie with us. Whilst she was made very welcome and allowed full access to the whole property, including the gardens and the lower level terraces leading to the river, security may be an issue for some, if your dog is a wanderer or a cat chaser. There are however sliding privacy screens which would contain all but the most enthusiastic escapees. The beautiful village centre is a ten minute walk away, with good dog-friendly pubs, friendly locals, fantastic bakery and two Coop's. Easy access to lots of great walks. We did The Waterfall Trails, Ingleborough, White Scar Caves(not dog friendly) and Malham Cove(a short drive away). We would have no hesitation in recommending Coach House Cottage and will definitely be returning.

This is an ideal location for a family holiday.
Four of us and our big dog stayed and my sister, her family and their dog had Forge cottage across the way. There was plenty of room for us all to eat together and hang out in the evenings (ours was a bit bigger with some garden space although theirs had the sea view). It was nice for my teens to have separate bedrooms and their own bathroom. A lot of places for 6 are really for 4 with 2 extras crammed in but this is properly spacious. The cottage was well equipped with everything you could need and it was all very clean. I can confirm the new mattresses are very comfortable. The owners are friendly and helpful but not intrusive (Our shower curtain fell down and Alan fixed it right away). The views from the cottage are amazing and there are lovely walks from the door. Itâs an easy 30-40 mins downhill walk on the Cinder path to Robin Hoods Bay which is absolutely charming and you can walk along the beach (if the tide is out) or along the cliffs to Boggle Hole. The only real downside is that the track up to the farm is steep, unsurfaced and very bumpy. We would not have wanted to attempt it in winter or after dark but that didnât limit us much on a summer family holiday.

We were very impressed the moment we walked into Mulberry Manor.
The spaciousness of the property hit us first then we noticed the lovely welcome tray of goodies which included a bottle of prosecco, some chocolates, half a dozen free range eggs and a loaf of home-baked bread,as well as a lovely hand crafted card welcoming us. We had travelled with our two daughters and our 4 year old grandson for whom a camp bed was provided. Our daughters and grandson occupied the upstairs quarters and we had the en-suite double on the ground floor. Our grandson was very impressed that there were 3 toilets. We were delighted to learn that we were the first guests in the cottage. We found the accommodation very comfortable and it was an ideal property for us. As with many new things there were a few first time niggles but these were sorted for us very promptly. The plusses for us were the spaciousness & comfort of the property. the tranquil location with sea (and wind turbine) views and the in-house amenities of washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, TV etc. We loved every minute and would certainly recommend it as an ideal family accommodation.

The cottage was absolutely perfect.
In the centre of Whitby so within walking distance to all the attractions, very close to shops, and a 4 minute walk from a long stay car park. The cottage itself was clean, excellent facilities and had all amenities you could ask for. There were 4 adults and 2 dogs, and the cottage fit us all in fine. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were clean and kitchen had all the appliances you could need. I would highly recommend this cottage to anybody! Only negative-Was a little hard to find the property so maybe be more specific on the exactly how to find it, but the people of Baxergate street did help us eventually :) also, the hoover that was provided was not the best at cleaning up due to hair in the actual vacuum head and the filter, so they might need to be changed (only giving this feedback so the people who occupy the property next will be able to clean up a little better than we could before they leave, although we did use the dustpan and brush instead). Otherwise it was absolutely perfect :)
