What our customers say about their holidays

Pebble Cottage is a beautiful property in a wonderful location.
After a few days there we had totally relaxed. The dark skies at night are amazing (unfortunately the nights were cloudy so no stargazing but I find laying in bed listening to rain very nice, and every single day was sunny and warm for March!). We only took the car out on 2 days as it is so easy to walk around the area with Danes Dyke being basically across the road and from there going either down to Sewerby and Bridlington or round the Flamborough headland and beaches. Itâs also an easy short walk into the village itself where everyone we met was very friendly. Coming back after our walks to the dog wash was very appreciated! Readers who have had shedding labradors in their lives will also appreciate that supplies at the cottage included a good vacuum cleaner, having always had long haired dogs before our current one Iâd really not believed friends that a lab coat is worse for embedding itself, well, everywhereâ¦. We were very sad to leave, it was a joy to have been.

2nd time at this beautiful cottage we would have been more but its popularity makes it hard to have the availability when we need it .
The cottage is so spacious both indoors and outdoor spaces with very comfortable living area , superb kitchen with everything you need for self catering holiday great bathroom and king-size bed VERY comfortable with plenty storage space and extra tele which is nice, spare twin room has en suite with shower cubicle including rainfall shower wc and wash basin . The cottage is in quiet location opposite rural fields and woods but only 5mins walk from very friendly village centre with shops pubs cafes and restaurants all dog friendly and do great dood plus only 20 mins walk away from North South and lighthouse beaches and literally over road from danes dyke which is lovely walk through woods to lovely beach . The owners are not local but are easily contactable if you have any problems concerns or questions. This is a gem of a cottage and when this has not been available we have tried elsewhere but this is best we have found .

Stayed in this lovely spacious cottage in February.
Full enclosed garden for our dog, so we could safely let her out. This cottage has everything you need, itâs a real home from home. The heating and tv are very easy to use, I mention this because it isnât always the case. Netflix included for those cosy nights in. The cottage is well placed for an easy walk into the village which has all we required. All the pubs welcomed our dog. Lovely fish and chips at the lighthouse fisheries.Seabirds serves some lovely meals if you fancy a night out. We were perfectly placed for all of the east coast.Danes Dyke nature reserve which is just over the hill from the cottage is a great place for some off lead walking. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again. So nice to stay in a place that youâre not disappointed with. Highly recommend

Wow, what a property. If you are after somewhere secluded and off the beaten track but also within driving distance to some great days out you can do no better than here. We arrived when bad weather hit and the hosts allowed us to check in early, they suggested alternate routes so we avoided travelling over the moors in the snow and ice. When we arrived we were greated with an amazing location (the track to the property didn't seem an issue in a small family car even in icey conditions) Lots to see and do locally but for me personally as a photographer who specialises in astrophotography the night sky is stunning and you are also rewarded with some gorgeous sunrises with your morning coffee as well. We can't wait to rebook again next year.

Firstly, the main complaint we had was the no secure garden for our 3 dogs.
The cottage next to us did have a fenced off garden. We were informed by the maintainer that all the cottages are being given Fenced off gardens gradually as we were not the only people to complain. The electric oven didn't work, so we had a new one two days before leaving. So prior to that we were using the microwave or going to the local pub, that was brilliant food. There was no vacuum, broom/mop in the cottage so it was difficult to keep the floor clean . We don't like to leave any property with mess. My husband did get a vacuum from the laundry room (wasn't sure if that was correct). The area wasn't ideal for dogs, we only found one good beech for them to have a good run around.
