  Mount Rose is a large, well equipped and comfortable house suitable for extended family or group stays. We especially liked the decked outside seating area with comfy sofas and a lovely view down to the sea. The house is about 30mins walk to Woolacombe beach - although the walk back is uphill so be ready to climb back up after a beach day out! Two sitting rooms and two TVs worked well for us. And the kitchen and dining area is large with everything you need to self cater, including an extra fridge and drinks chiller which were very welcome. Beware the steep driveway which we found challenging. We loved Woolacombe beach, cycling the tarka trail, a walk to see "Verity" in Ilfracombe, walking the coastal paths from Croyde to Baggy Point and to Crow Point, sailing trip fishing for Mackerel from Ilfracombe, and a day at Arlington Court National Trust. But we would recommend swerving the aquarium at Ilfracombe - it is tiny and takes less than 10 minutes to see everything in it - not worth the money in our view.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our time staying at Mount Rose. The instructions on arrival were clear and the host had left some welcome gifts which were very well received after a long journey! The property itself was spotless and very spacious, the furnishings in the bedrooms and lounge were very comfortable and modern and there are lovely views of the countryside and sea views from the balconies. The garden is also lovely and we made use of the BBQ during our stay. There are some lovely places for walking / to visit nearby, Woolacombe is only a 15 minute walk and Lee, Ilfracombe & Combe Martin were no more than a 20 minute drive away which made the accommodation at Mount Rose ideal for us! We would highly recommend this property for families or groups wanting to stay in North Devon.

  Spring Barn was absolutely lovely.

  The location was faultless and the grounds were fantastic. There was more than enough space for 8 adults and a little one to stay there. The cottage was very homey, and felt like home during the stay. The only thing one of the visitors struggled with was hitting their head on the light shade when entering the cottage. All the other lights were ceiling lights. This is a very small issue compared to the 6ft 8 person who kept hitting their head. But it honestly didn't put a damper in our stay there. Will definitely be back as the location was perfect. And some of the beaches near the cottage were stunning. Better than beaches abroad we have been to. Overall, we had a lovely stay. And was perfect for some much needed family time.

  Fantastic property in a great location. Great walks from the property to the beach and coastline. Re cleanliness we found property dusty, cobwebs around the lights which looked as if they had been there a while. Floor wasn’t hoovered. Fridge was a bit dirty. Trying to drive onto the road from the drive why was a bit scarey because you do not have clear sight on the right. There is bushes over grown which obscure the road. If this was cut back it would be safer. Can imagine may put people off. Also back gate into garden is in the wrong place. Should be at the side of the property. Meant we had to leave the gate unlocked which means any one had access to the back garden. Overall we had a great time.

  A wonderful comfortable beautiful house excellent facilities just as stated on the description.

  We celebrated an 80 th birthday with 18 family members large comfortable bedrooms and excellent bathrooms most ensuit soft towels and lovely bed linen. The kitchen was large very well equipped two excellent dishwashers etc and the biggest fridge we had ever seen.with another kitchen with a freezer cooker and fridge .. large comfortable lounge and dining room everything we could want. We have stayed in large houses before but this is far superior in every way. Our three dogs were very welcome and the huge garden was ideal for family games etc. I cannot recommend this house highly enough home from home we will certainly book again. Jess the manager was very helpful thank you for a wonderful stay.
