Lovely converted building, well equipped, although if there were 4 people, just one bathroom with toilet might be an issue. We were there at Christmas and it was warm without needing the log burner. Lovely converted building, well equipped, although if there were 4 people, just one bathroom with toilet might be an issue. We were there at Christmas and it was warm without needing the log burner. Very quiet and dark at night. Very comfy beds. Outdoor welly boot rack, and plenty of hooks inside the kitchen cupboard for outdoor wear. Although no food provided (as they state - to avoid waste) in addition to what is listed, they do provide tea towels, kitchen towels, oven gloves, cling film, foil, dishwasher tabs and liquid, bin liners, dishcloth and brush - helpful to know what not to bring, There is also a Karcher machine to remove the condensation on the windows. TV is freesat only, so we brought our Firestick, which was helpful.

Lovely cottage in a very quiet, peaceful, easy to find location. Excellent base for exploring the NE Northumberland area. Well-equipped and everything was of a good quality standard. Comfortable beds. Plenty of space. Great shower. Nice, sunny garden, ideal for G & T's in the evening! Our only gripe was that there was no welcome pack on our arrival which was expected from the booking description and only a tiny amount of toilet paper - we would have expected this to be provided for a cottage costing over £1k per week. Luckily, we did a shop for essentials before arriving on the first day. We had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend this cottage for anyone wanting to escape to the country for a relaxing holiday break. Oh, and our Border Terrier, Indie, loved it too!!

Needs better directions , a sign would be welcoming , the postcode gives Langley.
Property smelt of dogs . Had to buy Fabreze. Double mattress too soft had bad backs . No extra bedding for cold nights , had to use the single duvets. Immediate surroundings looked like a tip ,with a great bucket of used booze bottles next to the cottage. Yard needs a good tidy . Someone entered the property when we were out , as there was s wet footprint left ! Not impressed by that . The patio doors were broken and we couldnât get out except by the front door . The outer front door was sticking badly . Plenty grime around the windows and a cobweb on the overhead bed light . Needs a good deep clean and airing . Everything in there looked tired and drab which is why we left a day early . Love the area which we have visited many times , but not this dump.

Travelling directions were good.
Owner introduced himself upon arrival . Shower over bath in second bedroom had a damaged hose and as the bath was very narrow and no anti-slip mat it wasn't possible for us to safely use. Hose was replaced mid week. Outhouse was dirty, freezer didn't work and washing machine looked dirty as well. Kitchenware was well stocked (no scissors?). Patio door hinges buckled with subsequent gap at top. Understand that these are new owners but general maintenance needs addressing and listing needs amended to reflect lack of some items. (DVD player, radio ) and freezer / washing machine replaced. Overall we enjoyed our stay and hopefully the new owners can get the property back up to a good standard.

Lime tree is a beautiful cottage, in a beautiful village. Great spot for touring and we LOVED Northumberland and all it had to offer. The beds and sofas in the house were comfortable. Good heating and television. Wi-fi good too. Everything you might need was provided for, including washing machine and tumble drier and it was good to have on site parking. The front garden was very eye-catching with some lovely planting. The back sitting out area, less appealing. Great pub in the village and Chillingham Castle is within walking distance and well worth a visit. We were however, very disappointed with the cleanliness of the property.
