What our customers say about their holidays
ms Whitfield - Verified booking
The house was well equipped, beds very comfy and great shower. There is also a dishwasher which wasn't in the listing description. The location is about 10 mins easy walk uphill from sea front and main area of restaurants. The neighbourhood is lovely and quiet. It was very useful to have a parking space as street parking in area extremely limited. The road and driveway is very narrow, however, luckily there was no car on neighbour's drive when we were there so it was easy to park. It would be quite difficult to park a large car if there was a car on neighbouring drive. Views from the upper terraces of the back garden were stunning but unfortunately the garden has not been well maintained so it is not really useable. A fence panel is missing so entire garden not 100% secure for dogs, although the patio area immediately to the rear of the house is gated. The garden area was a shame but overall the house was clean and comfy and good value for money.

On arrival the cleanliness was sloppy, there was food debris in the kitchen drawers, rusty kitchen utensils, dust on the fridge and cobwebs in the lounge, this should have been spotless prior to arrival, I didn't make this known at the time as I really didn't want anyone in cleaning having after driven 9 hours. Property location is brilliant for Mumbles, Limeslade and Bracelet Bays. The spot allocated for parking which was meant to be at the rear of the property adjacent to the wall, someone else had parked there for the duration of our visit. This property is not a cosy cottage if this is what you're looking for, it is a fairly new build property with no character on a residential estate. Not happy also with the 'damage deposit', either pay £250 refundable if no damage, or £25 deposit waiver, the latter just feels as if it is a stealthy way to charge more as not everyone can afford the £250.

The property was lovely. Lots if space downstairs for family and visitors. We could have benefited from a better kettle which was too small, kept switching off so we had to hold the switch down and would splash boiling water everywhere out of the lid . I did put a comment in the property guest book so hopefully this will be rectified. And one thing we weren't notified of was the construction work immediately outside the property which commenced early in the morning and was very noisy and lots of vibration through the property. I could overlook it but the vibration was triggering my daughters seizures and my sister who is on palliative care found it a bit much. It will be continuing for 18 months so perhaps other guests could be informed. Apart from that it's a beautiful property and in prime location and we are definitely considering re-booking in the future.

We absolutely loved our stay at Clementine cottage. It was perfect for a family holiday with grandparents, parents and a 4 year old and a baby. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and presented to a high standard with quality furniture, exceptionally well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, lovely towels and bedding, quality cot and high chair. Tv and dvd player came in handy on two wet days. It was so convenient to walk to the beach less than 10 minutes away. We walked down every day even on our 2 wet and windy days. The coffee shop around the corner is very handy and serves fresh croissants and cakes and great coffee which was a treat. We also sampled the local fish and chips on the sea front and a local restaurant. Our grandson also enjoyed the small enclosed back garden where he could kick a ball around. Would thoroughly recommend it for a family holiday.

A perfect spot with a great well stocked village shop (and tea room), pub serving nice meals, really close, and another lovely tea room within walking distance From there a short walk through the woods led to a bird hide to spot little egrets, a buzzard, and swallows actually flying in. Lots of good walks, from the cottage with maps provided. Two parking spaces were fine if a little tight with the other properties and vehicles around. We’d recently bought an electric car and managed to find recharging points at the Gower Heritage Centre and Oxwich beach. We booked both Frog and Tadpole Cottages and this worked well for our group - a couple and Father and Daughter. We had some lovely weather so managed to eat a couple of meals outside in the garden. Some of the carpets and furniture need to be refreshed but I suppose this will be done in the quieter months.
