  Pauline was very friendly and gave us a warm welcome.

  We were thankful for the welcome pack as we arrived in the evening after a long journey. The house worked well for us and we particularly liked the comfort of the upstairs space. It was lovely and clean but it did feel a bit tired in places - for example, the radiator in the kitchen is very rusty, the window in the kitchen by the sofa looks like it needs finishing off, there is a broken blind behind the sofa upstairs and there were various lightbulbs missing. Also, the dishwasher didn't clean particular well and we did try various settings. It feels like the filter needs a good clean. The location was lovely - we spent a lot of time walking on the beach and swimming in the sea. McCrorys was also a lovely pub and restaurant. Overall, a lovely week in a lovely part of Ireland.

  Lovely cottage in an ideal location.

  Very convenient both to the town, for shops, and to Lough Cullin, which is one of our favourite lakes. Facilities were great, it was good to be able to bring our dog with us as well. Bed extremely comfortable and the sofa (with the dog's blanket and throw on it) was very comfortable for him as well! The Mayo lakes (Cullin and Conn are great. We know them well and it was good to be able to take our time exploring rather than a quick day trip from home... Would recommend this cottage; the road outside it was also a lovely place to walk in the evenings, and we met some very friendly people/dog walkers on the road up the hill. We'll be back.

  This is a lovely cottage.

  It has been totally refurbished internally but externally it retains the typical rural cottage look. There is a large garden area which our dog loved: unfortunately, as we were there in mid December and during storm Barra, it was too cold, wet and windy for the humans to enjoy being outside. Situated in the heart of the Burren, it is a perfect base for exploring the fascinating history and landscape. Travel times to Galway and Limerick are not too long and the coast is easily reached - Lahinch is less than 30 minutes travel. I recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and rural stay without sacrificing good household amenities.

  What a lovely, cosy cottage this is.

  It was absolutely spotless, everything you could want for is there. Pauline was simply wonderful, just a text message (or phonecall) away. We very much appreciated the basket with supplies waiting for us on arrival. The beach is only a twenty minute walk from the house, which is where you can find a fantastic playground. Many breathtaking views to be seen nearby. Malin head, Glenveagh National Park, Grianan of Aileach to name a few. Doagh Famine village is worth a visit as well. We had a blast exploring County Donegal. If you want tranquillity without being too far from amenities, be sure to book this cottage!

  I loved this property so much!

  You can't see in the pictures but it is attached to another house. The rooms were great, the kitchen was massive and it had a lovely view. We sat in front of the massive windows looking at the stars and one night watch8ng a storm. Rosaleen was great, told us how to work everything. She checked in a few times to make sure we didn't need anything. She also made sure we had tea and cake when we arrived which was lovely too. It was close to all the sites we wanted to go to. Only half an hour from Sligo but we mostly went to Carrick-on-Shannon which was also beautiful. Overall it was a great place to stay
