What our customers say about their holidays

We had a lovely stay at Cosy Bee and are very grateful to the owner(s) for letting us take our three small dogs to stay- our blind poodle spent most of the week in the cottage but was no trouble and ( as usual!
) slept most of the day. Cosy Bee is in a great location- having lived in Lancaster and Morecambe I knew what to expect and was familiar with Heysham Village- the steepness of the drive came as no surprise! It was very peaceful at night and the next door neighbours, who we met very briefly, were friendly. The facilities were good and provided everything we needed, I especially liked the pretty enclosed garden. The beds were comfy and overall the cottage was clean, albeit for some slight discolouration to the living room carpet which is only to be expected in a dog-accommodating dwelling and it didnât matter to us. The only reason why I am grading 4 stars is because I personally found the living room sofa very uncomfortable ( I have back and neck issues). After a long day of walking I could have done with a firmer sofa to chill on- but I compensated by going to bed to lie down . The handbook was very informative and helpful. We left comments in the Visitor Book about our stay and I wouldnât hesitate to book again if and when I am next up that way. Many thanks once again to the owner from 2 happy hoomans and 3 happy pups.

Beautiful lodge with south facing decking, dish washer with dish washer tablets provided, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board.
2 bathrooms were a bonus, ample kitchen space, recliner leather chair, excellent wifi. The mattress on the double bed was so comfortable. It has an onsite bar and restaurant overlooking the lake with a small beach for the kids. 10 minutes drive to Morcambe bay and the little park. Carnforth 5 minutes drive to Aldi or Tesco. The railway is a must to see the museum where brief encounter was filmed. Lots of shops in Morcambe with a nice indoor market (the lamb and mint pies are the best pies we've had). Only 23 minutes to the Lakes district, (we especially love Ambleside). The farm shop a mile away is worth the visit, lots to do for the kids and lovely food in the cafe. We will definitely be returning, it felt like home, thank you for letting us stay, we thoroughly enjoyed it âº

The lodge was very clean and fresh and all furnishings were comfortable and in very good condition.
The rooms were very spacious and the kitchen was lovely with plenty of crockery and utensils. The utility room is a bonus for dog owners, ours slept in there and it was a great space to keep dog paraphernalia. The park is very well kept. We used the swimming pool and again it was very clean. It is quite small and got busy in the adults only morning session. No changing rooms just shower cubicles and toilets. The restaurant opening times were very random so I advise to check with restaurant and book because opening times varied from day to day. Service not great but food was delicious. There is no TV in the twin room contrary to the advert at time when I booked. Good WiFi. We enjoyed our stay and would book the exact same lodge again.

I book all my holidays with Sykes this shouldnât be on there books we were going for a nice family Christmas with my wifeâs 80year old parents we had all electrical sockets apart from kitchen trip I unplugged all sockets but still kept tripping I had to buy extension lead to run from kitchen to lounge there was damp in wardrobe running into plug socket we had no correspondence from owner or caretaker we left 3 days early as the cable running across the floor was not safe cleanliness is not brilliant I would not recommend renting until all electric s and damp are sorted the worst place I have booked through Sykes I wouldnât bother to book this place better places around area this is just a greed over safety plac

We had a lovely 3 night stay at this property over New Year.
What a beautiful cottage, very clean, and everything was well presented. The welcome pack (prosecco, milk, fresh lemonade, tea, coffee, washing stuff and shortbreads) was very much appreciated. The towels and bed linen (all white) were freshly laundered and we really couldn't have asked for anything more, the beds were also very comfortable. The owners have thought of everything, the kitchen was well stocked with crockery and cooking appliances. We ate at the local pub (Sun Dial) on NY eve, only a 2 minute walk down the road, traditional pub grub but very nice and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We definitely recommend the cottage and will also look to stay here again. Thank you !
