The cottage's location is highly praised for its proximity to local attractions, including the North Norfolk coast, nature reserves, and local eateries. Guests enjoyed the peaceful setting and the convenience of nearby walks and sights.

The cottage is described as cosy and comfortable, particularly with the wood burner in the evenings. However, a few guests noted the steep stairs and the shower water pressure, which slightly affected the comfort level for some.

Guests have mentioned appreciative gestures such as the wood burner being lit upon arrival and festive treats, indicating a high level of thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such personal touches, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The sitting room is comfortably and warmly furnished embracing its character to the full, plus the room hosts a small dining area beside the stove. The adjoining kitchen is well-equipped and provides access to the enclosed, south facing garden at the back of the cottage where it catches the sun's rays. There is a useful utility area with laundry facilities just inside the entrance door, and beyond that is a new bathroom suite offering both bath and shower options. On the first floor (mind the stairs) is an inviting king-size bedroom decorated in calming soft grey and blue hues, helping to encourage a good nights sleep.

Great Walsingham is a pretty village made up of period properties and flint cottages. Across the village road is Great Walsingham Barns a small complex with a cafe serving delicious food and drinks, as well as a couple of enticing galleries to browse. Walkers will enjoy taking a stroll down to the pretty ford, which you can easily cross if you wish, to spot a kingfisher fishing. The historic neighbouring village of Little Walsingham (ironically much bigger!) is home to lovely Priory gardens which can easily be reached on foot, and is well worth a visit.

A beautiful base in a charming village. An easy walk to Little Walsingham to the pubs and wine bar and to explore the abbey, churches and shrine. The cottage had everything we needed and we definitely appreciated the enclosed garden to enjoy breakfast in the sunshine. Very useful for our dog too.

What beautiful weather! And in March as well, so fortunate. Enjoyed all the beached from Hunstanton to Salthouse. Excellent fish and chips at the ‘George & Dragon’ Cley, Beans boat trip to see the seals at Morston Quay. Blakeney point and watching the F35 lightning jets roaring around in the sky! Don’t forget to wave at John the pilot. Thank you for the milk and biscuits, extra logs for the fire when we extended our visit. Thoughtful touches made our stay special.
