A lovely quirky historic cottage, sympathetically updated to provide a comfortable holiday cottage which is dog friendly and good walking from the doorstop and local to Liverpool attractions. Always a warm welcome and is always being well maintained with little extras appearing each time we have stayed. The WiFi is now excellent 4 bars and good speed and a lovely homemade lemon drizzle cake we will be back for a sixth visit later in the year.

I sadly never made my holiday because of mechanical problems with my vehicle. However I have been well aware of the cottage and its history for many years. Hale village is a lovely area. In the 1960s my mother would walk all us five kid's there for a lovely summers day out. We walked all the way from Whiston and back again. We loved the cottage and it's local church with it's history, and especially visiting the Giants Grave "John Middleton" known as the Childe of Hale. I hope to visit next year! Mr Phillip Holmes.
