Guests say

Vinca Cottage is a cosy and welcoming property with character, situated in a convenient location near Scarborough. Guests appreciate the tasty treats provided by the owner, the spaciousness, and the lovely garden. The proximity to local pubs adds to its charm, making it a recommended stay for exploring the North Yorkshire coast.

Guests have mentioned that while the cottage is generally cosy, it requires a deeper clean, with some noting the presence of cobwebs and spiders. The dishwasher was also reported to be in need of cleaning.

The location is praised for being great for exploring the North Yorkshire coast, with easy parking and friendly local pubs nearby. Its proximity to Scarborough and central position make it a convenient base.

The king-size bed is highlighted as very comfortable, and the garden is enjoyed by guests and pets alike. However, some guests found the single mattresses and sofa to be uncomfortable, suggesting they need replacing.

The cottage is described as well-equipped and roomy, with a secure garden. Nonetheless, guests have suggested improvements such as better shower facilities, fire efficiency in the lounge, and double glazing to mitigate road noise.

The owner's provision of treats was well-received, adding a personal touch to the stay. However, it should be noted that such gestures are not guaranteed for every visit.

Beautiful warm cottage. Fantastic walks and cycling along the Cinder Track. Great base for coastal path. Both pubs either side were dog friendly and the Pie at the Oak Wheel was amazing.

Loved the cottage and the location, it was cosy and welcoming and the owner had left a few treats which were very tasty thank you.A few things to point out that could do with replacing and that is the single mattresses are way past there sell by date and very uncomfortable and springy, also can understand a few cobwebs but there was more than a few with spiders in unusual places, the cottage just needs a deeper clean, however I would definitely reccomend staying here and would definitely rebook if I was visiting that location again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. lovely cottage, plenty of character and very roomy. All the things you need. Easy to find. great pub next door, very friendly , good for kids and dogs too. re parking - pub landlord very happy ( I did ask - felt it was the polite thing to do) for us to park there, we did eat there too. Not every day as we travelled around the area, great central place to visit all up and down east coast. we will be back.
