Nearby is the market town of Kirkby Stephen, full of amenities to replenish your cupboards, grab some lunch at one of the cafés or enjoy a drink at the pub. It is a pretty town with cobbled streets, quaint corners and a picnic area where “Frank’s Bridge” crosses the River Eden. There is a plethora of waling and cycling, the settle-Carlisle railway line and many more attractions waiting to be discovered. Set in the heart of the Eden Valley, with the lakes, fells and lush dales nearby, this makes a wonderful base for your next family holiday.
Kirkby Stephen lies at the foot of the Howgill Fells in the upper Eden Valley, with a traditional market place, shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs for every taste and budget. You can enjoy a picnic by “Frank’s Bridge”, which crosses the River Eden, while just a mile from the town, the old railway station connects to the Settle-Carlisle Railway line, for a family day out. There are many walks and cycle routes to try with the whole of the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales easily reached.

Comfortable and clean, plenty of space, very comfy beds. The hot tub was lovely in the evenings. Had everything we needed, great views into the countryside. Perfect base to visit Windermere, Penrith, Kendal, Kirby Stephen, Keswick. We had beautiful weather and had a lovely time. The farm shops around this area are great! Would recommend this cottage which is on a farm. Would definitely visit again. Thank you!!

Everything we needed & more. The hot tub was so inviting after a days walking. Beds comfy, good quality duvet. Really enjoyed our stay here, we were sad to leave.

The owners have put a lot of thought into providing a home from home. With every need catered for. It is part of a static caravan park, and as mentioned a working farm. But donât let that stop you from staying at this 5* property. Around a 10min drive to the nearest shops.
