Guests say

Brookley Barn in Belper is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and peaceful location. Guests enjoy the spaciousness, the quiet working farm setting, and the proximity to walks and local attractions. The cottage is well-equipped with a pool table and Sky TV, adding to the entertainment options. The welcoming hosts and thoughtful touches, such as tea and biscuits on arrival, contribute to a delightful stay.

Guests consistently mention the property being very clean upon arrival, indicating high standards of cleanliness. The practical flooring for pets and the overall tidiness contribute to the positive feedback.

The property's location is frequently commended for its tranquillity and convenience for walking and exploring the Peak District. Its proximity to a pub and various attractions adds to its appeal.

Comfort is highlighted with mentions of comfortable beds, sofas, and a warm and cosy atmosphere. However, a minor point about the small shower cubicle size for larger guests slightly affects the score.

Facilities like the powerful shower, pool table, and Sky TV are appreciated, but guests suggest improvements such as adding a shower shelf and better outdoor lighting. The presence of a secure garden for pets is also noted.

While guests appreciate the tea, coffee, and biscuits provided on arrival, there is no consistent mention of gifts to evaluate the thoughtfulness category fully. Therefore, it is not guaranteed that such amenities will always be provided.

Jamie was very helpful when we had an issue with the tv on our first night. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. All rooms were clean and tidy. Tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival was a nice touch. Constructive criticism: We found having 4 people for 4 nights with only one toilet roll wasn't sufficient maybe an extra toilet roll, one tea towel and one dishwasher tablet wasn't enough again maybe supply a few more. Outside lighting needs to be looked at, solar lights are very good during the summer months but not adequate for the winter months especially when letting the dog out in the garden. The solar step lights as mentioned earlier need to be looked in to again solar lights are ok during the summer months. All in all we had a wonderful stay and we will definitely return.
