About this property

A wonderful gathering space, set in peaceful countryside with a fabulous all weather outside area. Located on a lane with gorgeous farmland, and some friendly animals to say hi to, you are not far from great walks, and exciting places to visit. The vibrant market town of Ashbourne, known for its local food is just 5.5 miles away, and has plenty of independent shops and cafes to explore around cobbled streets. Carsington Water sits a little less that 3.5 miles away and is perfect for walking, cycling, bird watching and of course water sports. Matlock Bath sits 8 miles away, with riverside walks, amusements arcades, cable cars and more for you to explore. Of course, this area is so close to the Peak District, where you are spoilt for walking choices and hikes on offer. Great for taking the day to see gorgeous views from places like Black Rock (6 miles) Crich Lane Woods (7 miles) Belper Park Nature Reserve (5 miles) or why not explore further stately homes like Kedleston Hall (4 miles Haddon Hall (13 miles) or Chatsworth (15 miles).

The property itself is set around a picturesque courtyard and is entered via the open plan living space with kitchen, dining area and comfortable soft seating, with lots of lovely natural light pouring in from the windows. The kitchen is very well equipped, with everything you need for a self catered holiday. There is plenty of soft seating, around the cosy wood burner, with a Smart TV, there are plenty of children's games for the family to enjoy. A dining table is set close to the kitchen, and is perfect for those meals together after a day's exploring. Completing the ground floor is a separate WC. Upstairs are two well-appointed super-king size versatile rooms, both with super-king size beds that can be made into singles on request. The larger of the bedrooms has an additional single sofa bed for a family room arrangement, both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.

Heading outside, being part of the old hay barn has really lent itself to a perfect space come rain or shine, with a fully enclosed garden that also benefits a large roof covering the outdoor seating area. There is a play house, BBQ and games, making this a safe and secure space for the outdoors to be enjoyed.
