  A great location for exploring the central and southern Peak District. Tideswell is just big enough to have a choice of places to eat out but small enough to be an authentic Derbyshire village. The house itself is well fitted out with the bedrooms cleverly fitted with individual shower/bathrooms. We spent little time in the house which was tidy and superficially clean but thought it would benefit from an occasional deep clean. There were lots of Board games and a large TV; a music system would have enhanced the entertainment for those who spent more time in the house. But overall, the house was lovely and we would happily recommend it to anyone.

  All very good a very enjoyable stay in a lovely cottage. Clean and comfortable and in a perfect location for exploring all the peaks have to offer. The only slight dip in scores was 4 for accuracy of description on your website as it stated there was a dishwasher in the property and there wasn’t? It was no bother to us, but it should not be on the description if it is not there. Also the slight dip of score to a 4 for equipment, perhaps another baking tray or two would have been useful and another oven mitt as there was only one, but again nothing major and all good. Would love to return to Curlew. Thank you for a great stay.

  This was our first visit to the Peak District, and what a treat! Curlew Cottage is a special little place. It is so well equipped and comfortable, a real, “home from home” It is so well positioned for the many local walks from the door and interesting walks nearby to places like Eyam Edge, Win Hill, Lose Hill and many others. We really enjoyed visiting Chatsworth House, Bakewell and Buxton. There are too many lovely places to eat but the Queen Anne pub is within easy walking distance for nice pub food. The Merchants Yard in Tideswell is great for Sunday lunch. Too much to see, so we will just have to come back! Thank you

  The property is as described, a perfect fit for us with the three en-suite rooms and an additional, smaller en-suite with bunks that we were able to use as a spare room for clothing. Downstairs was ideal for us, a nice space for us to chill out in the evenings and play some games. The location is great, Tideswell is a lovely little village within easy driving reach of Bakewell, Chatsworth, Buxton etc and parking at the property is as good as it can possibly get - throughout the week we were never further than 40 yds from the house.

  This is our third stay in your lovely cottage. It's ideally situated for exploring the Derbyshire Dales and the High Peaks. We've seen lots of Red Grouse, Deer, Kestrels, but sadly no mountain hares this time. We've enjoyed coming back to the cosy cottage in the evenings - everything you need to cook your own meal, but lots of pubs nearby to choose from as well. We enjoyed an excellent meal at the Barrel Inn, Bretton. Hope to see you later in the year. Happy New Year!
