Commanding panoramic views over beautiful countryside, this superbly converted barn also enjoys a truly comfortable and lovely, contemporary interior. Quiet and secluded, it lies beside the owners’ farm, just 1 mile from a village ’real ale’ pub and shop. There are fine restaurants nearby and good shopping in Wirksworth is just 3 miles, as are Carsington Lake’s splendid water sports facilities, cycle trail and fishing. Heights of Abraham and Gulliver’s Kingdom 5 miles, Chatsworth 10 miles, Alton Towers 20 miles.

Lovely stone cottage with fabulous views. Well equipped and comfortable. Hosts next door gave us a nice warm welcome. Narrow lanes to access but never a problem. Sat nav took us to within yards of house. All the tourist spots and shops within easy drive for our 3 generations though we grandparents very happy just to sit and soak up the peace and tranquillity much of the time! Pubs and places to eat close by. Local Balti takeaway was happy to deliver. Carsington Water Sports Centre very close: now open again along with bike hire. Visitors' centre, shops and nice cafés there too.

We really enjoyed our stay at Spring Cottage which is a spacious and well equipped cottage in a superb rural location. A 15 minute walk away from the village which offers a shop and pub and Wirksworth and Belper towns are both within a 10 mile drive. Many thanks to Katherine and David we will certainly be back.

The cottage was very well equipped. The location was completely rural and very beautiful. The downside was actually finding the cottage, especially from the south. There are many local attractions in that area of Derbyshire.
