Swallows Loft is a well-received cottage set on a working farm, offering a homely and comfortable stay with beautiful views and a convenient location for walking and exploring local attractions. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, the opportunity to interact with farm animals, and the thoughtful touches like Christmas decorations and a welcoming bottle of wine.
Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, though a few mentioned cobwebs and dog mess outside. The positive remarks on cleanliness outweigh the negatives, indicating a generally high standard of cleanliness.
The location is highly praised for its beautiful views, peaceful farm setting, and proximity to local attractions and walking trails. The road to the cottage is noted as rough but navigable.
The majority of guests found the cottage comfortable, with a spacious living room and cosy atmosphere. However, some guests mentioned uncomfortable single beds and a lack of blankets, slightly lowering the comfort score.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and utility room. Some maintenance issues like non-working lights and minor damages were noted, suggesting room for improvement.
Guests mentioned thoughtful gestures such as wine on arrival and Christmas decorations. While these gifts are appreciated, it's important to note they may not be a standard offering for all stays.

We enjoyed our stay and imagine it would be lovely in the summer. We had a lot of trouble getting the key out of the front door and therefore secured the property by the back door when going out for the day.For a rental this time of year we thought the interior lighting particularly poor, there was a dead lightbulb (there were 2 bulbs) above the stairs, there was no lighting over the sink, the cooker hood light did not work and the main oven light did not work. There was a broken lower hinge on a low level cupboard and the drawer unit near the back door has issues with the two lower draws.Having said all that there was good heating and hot water, there were D/W tablets wash up liquid, dish cloths and tea towels. We appreciated the welcoming wine and the Christmas decorations. We would recommend this property but it just needs some relatively minor remedial work.

We come here every year and love the cottages and love the location. The cottages have everything you need and the owner is always helpful and friendly. Some of the mattresses are slightly uncomfy, but with all the fresh air, i don't have an issue getting to sleep. Love this property and the others at the farm and intend to keep coming back.
