Long Acres is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful owners, the secure garden for pets, and the peaceful location. The property is described as spacious with a wonderful conservatory, though some noted the remote location and minor issues with water pressure and dog walking areas.
Guests consistently mention the spotless condition of the bungalow, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that contributes to a pleasant stay.
The property is appreciated for its quietness and security, although some guests find it a bit remote. The proximity to local attractions and the peaceful setting are generally seen as positive aspects.
The bungalow is frequently described as comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed and a spacious conservatory. A few guests mentioned the armchairs being low for the elderly, but overall comfort levels are high.
Facilities are well-regarded, with the property being well-equipped for a holiday stay. There are mentions of a weak shower pressure and a desire for better vacuum cleaners, but these are minor compared to the overall positive feedback.
While the reviews reflect the owners' helpfulness and the property's well-equipped nature, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.
Old Leake 1 mile. This detached modern bungalow is a lovely Lincolnshire cottage, in a rural location on the edge of Old Leake village, known locally as Leake Commonside. The cottage is well equipped with modern furnishings; the well proportioned fitted kitchen with dining area has patio doors leading into a large conservatory with relaxing sofas, while the sitting room is cosy and the bedrooms comfortable. Another set of doors lead into the enclosed garden, which has lawn and shrubs on one side and a gravel patio area with table and chairs to the other side. The cottage is ideally located for visiting the coast and Lincolnshire Wolds, while there are market towns, working mills, antiques centres and much, much more within easy travelling distance. A lovely Old Leake cottage for year-round relaxation.
The peaceful South Lincolnshire village of Old Leake sits in attractive countryside and offers a shop, three pubs, a Post Office, sports field and a children's playground. The village nestles on the edge of the Fens and its bulb fields and windmill sails have earned it the name of the 'Holland of England' - Trader Windmill, a working mill now run by English Heritage, can be seen four miles away in Sibsey. The market town of Spilsby is nine miles away, and here visitors can find a good selection of shops, restaurants and inns. The wonderful coastline, Fens and rolling hills of the Wolds offer walking and cycling opportunities. Many attractions and interesting destinations can be accessed from Old Leake, including the former wwii airfield at East Kirkby which is now an Aviation Heritage centre; the bustling market town of Boston; the seaside resort of Skegness and the antique lover's paradise of Horncastle.

The bungalow is very spacious and has a private garden which we enjoyed. It was extremely clean In all rooms and everything you needed was provided e.g. pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, all spotless. Also tea towel, foil, bin bags etc. which were very useful. The caravan site next door is also very well-kept and good to walk the dog. The owners, who live next door are very friendly and helpful. There are lots of places to visit and we would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Well equipped kitchen and clean and tidy. Comfortable bed. Really dark and peaceful at night as very little traffic. Pub is a 1 mile walk down a quiet road (except "rush" hour). Take a headtorch.
