This lovely detached cottage is set in the grounds of the owners’ thatched farmhouse and is a perfect touring base or ideal for simply sitting back, relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside.
Wits End Cottage is close to Woodhall Spa and Horncastle, and is only 25 minutes into the city of Lincoln and about a 30-minute drive to the traditional seaside resort of Skegness. For days out by car, on foot or by bicycle, the Lincolnshire Wolds, which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is close by. From the doorstep are good walks and cycle routes, and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight for wwii enthusiasts is at Coningsby, just a 15-minute drive. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Wits end is a nice property, unfortunately when we arrived, there hadn’t been any internet for 4 days, it was another 2 days before it was on again..The Dishwasher wasn’t working either although owner did get a engineer out, he got it going again..The only thing that spoilt our holiday was the rudeness of the owner.. she was very condescending.. she came to sort out the tv without the internet, rushed throw to the bathroom to turn off a mirror light, sating is dose turn off you know, unbelievable..

We could not fault this place at all absolutely perfect, the welcome treats of a home made loaf and a home made cake were very nice and to top it off there was a bottle of white wine, so clean and everything you need for that peaceful getaway, Louise and Tim you have done a amazing job Thank you once again we will definitely be back

Had a lovely 3 night stay at Wit’s End Cottage. Great communication from Louise and Tim regarding instructions and arrival. Louise greeted us which was lovely, she provided a delicious loaf, Victoria sponge, eggs and more. The cottage is very comfortable and spotless, they have taken great care to provide everything you could need for a break away from home. Shower and the hot tub both were both lovely and hot. We would definitely recommend the cottage, and hope and to stay again soon!
