The lodge itself is a stylish two-storey retreat designed to make the most of its exceptional setting. Sleeping up to six guests and offering Starlink Wi-Fi, it’s ideal for families, couples, or friends holidaying together. Guests have use of the sun room equipped with bar, karaoke and treadmill, however the real showstopper is the top-floor living space, where large windows and an elevated position provide stunning views across Duck Lake and the Jet Ski Lake, creating a sense of light, space, and connection to the water. The lodge also benefits from two private fishing pegs, perfect for casting a line just steps from your door. Thoughtfully set up for dogs, with space and easy access to walks, it comfortably welcomes up to three canine companions, ensuring no one gets left behind.

In a lovely location and a lovely plot and pretty easy to find. Communications with the owners was very good and they seem very nice and friendly. Good points: huge amount of space. Lovely plot and small garden for dog and double fishing platform perfect. Good appliances. Short walk to all the amenities and some lovely walks with dog from your door. Nice quiet spot on Duck Lake and had a very relaxing vibe. Bathrooms were clean which is a blessing. Bad points: I agree with all the previous review has said. It is in dire need of a deep clean im afraid. I read the cleaners were changed upon the last review but again its quite shocking how bad the new cleaners are too. I spent day one of my holiday cleaning it all. Im no Mrs Hinch but I like a clean home but this was sadly dirty. I found a sticky old dog wee under the table in the 'bar' area (not a bar to use as storage area) Luckily I bought some cleaning bits with me but wish id brought more tbh. There is a hoover but again I had to clean it to use it as was blocked. The dishwasher needs salt/rinse aids didnt use it a lot of cutlery plates were dirty in cupboard. The floors were sticky and dirty and dog hair everywhere. The sheets on king bed were smelly and were really crumpled like been left in tumbler. There was toothbrush on bed and one in drawers. Just a lot of unexpected things for a luxury cabin. Sofas are tired/flat. A brush is needed outside to clean up the poo to not have to sit in piles of it. There is a hole in the decking outside the doors which is dangerous as about through. Rubbish chucked in garden area, cloths, cans just sad really.

The location of the lodge is lovely, very peaceful and beautiful views from both the front and the back. You could see the jets from Coningsby flying over the lakes. The lake at the bottom of the garden was great for my son to fish. The facilities in the cabin were great, well equipped kitchen which has everything you need, coffee, tea and biscuits! The dogs had some biscuits too which were left on the bar. The furnishings - sofa, bedroom furniture etc. are great quality.We really loved the building. Fab place for our dogs, they loved the space and it’s very secure for them. However, there are some areas that we think need addressing to make your stay even better… - Cleaning - isn’t as thorough as it should be, floors were a bit littered with the previous party’s confetti, bathroom sink had hairs in it, furniture was covered in dust, as was the cooker hood, windows could do with a clean and I had to clean the TV screen as it was smeary, covered in dust and hard to see with the sun on it! This isn’t the fault of the owners, but the cleaners.- Sleeping - only one flat pillow each, and the quality of the duvet didn’t feel good, - a bit crunchy and stiff!- Large mirrors standing on the floor not secured to the wall could be dangerous for a little one or your pet- the shower in the main bathroom, you can’t turn down the temperature which was on very hot- broken blinds in the main bedroom and the TV didn’t work- the garden is very secure for your pets and not overlooked which is great. But the decking needs a bit of attention, all the chairs outside were covered in duck poo, flower pots have weeds in rather than flowers, hanging basket laying on the floor upside down, a broken plastic container just thrown in the log pile, and a watering can just laying in the shrubs.- protruding screws out of the walls in the living area and the bedrooms, which you could catch yourself on.- bar .. can’t be used as a bar as it’s used as a storage area and it’s a bit untidy. Saying all of the above, we would stay here again, we had a lovely relaxing break. It’s not a suitable place for people with mobility issues or if you have small children because there are to many hazards. It feels like the lodge needs some TLC both inside and out, it would make it feel more homely, looked after and make your stay perfect.
