Stone Lodge receives high praise for its cosy, well-equipped interiors and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds, quality linens, and thoughtful touches such as welcome packs. The cottage is ideally situated for exploring local villages, countryside walks, and nearby attractions, with friendly pubs and cafes close by. While parking on a blind bend and the lack of an enclosed garden for dogs are noted, these are minor compared to the overwhelmingly positive feedback. The property is especially commended for its warmth, cleanliness, and homely atmosphere, making it a popular choice for both short breaks and longer stays.
Multiple reviews highlight the spotless condition of the cottage, with specific mentions of clean linen, towels, and overall tidiness. No negative comments regarding cleanliness were found.
Guests enjoy the peaceful village setting, proximity to dog-friendly pubs, local attractions, and countryside walks. The only drawback mentioned is the challenging parking situation due to the blind bend.
The cottage is frequently described as cosy, warm, and comfortable, with high-quality beds and linens. The living spaces are praised for being spacious and homely, suitable for families and couples alike.
The property is well-equipped, with a fully stocked kitchen, good heating, hot water, and a fireplace. Minor suggestions include a shelf in the shower and a boost for the WiFi, but overall satisfaction is very high.
Guests often mention generous welcome packs and attentive, friendly hosts. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Very good cottage.

A lovely lodge to stay in. Nice welcome pack left for us. Although we didn't meet Danni she phoned us on route to give his directions and explain a few things. Her husband and family were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. A lovely break and if we are in the area again we wouldn't hesitate to book this lodge to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Stone Cottage and the heating was very good for February. The owners David and Danni were very helpful. We did find the drive out was very difficult due to the bend in the road. Please note for dog owners that there is no enclosed garden which can be inconvenient but a footpath is just a stone's throw away.
