Had a lovely peaceful break after Christmas. Saw the new year in with a home cooked meal. The property is handy for visiting Newark, Southwell and Lincoln. You feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. Dog friendly. Open plan kitchen lounge and diner. So the family could all relax together. Massive beds. Loved it.

What a lovely place. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat for a few days what Honies Farm has to offer has to be it. The Wheat Store was exceptional and having everything on the ground floor was essential for my elderly mum. Surrounded by open arable farmland, you do need a car. Situated just 3 miles from the lovely market town of Newark with lots of small shops and cafe bars and Sconce & Devon Park nearby provided outdoor areas for walks. Farndon has 3 good pubs with one situated right by the River Trent and Whisby Nature Park near Lincoln just a short drive away meant there was plenty to explore with our dog. We could have easily stayed longer than 4 nights. Loved it.
