Please note: No barbecues due to wooden construction of property.. Mark Farmhouse is an early 20th century, traditional weatherboard farmhouse, deep in the Essex countryside. A perfect base from which to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities on the nearby coast and in the surrounding countryside, or to make visits to the county’s historic towns and villages. Nearby, there is a dog friendly beach at Bradwell on Sea , which is easily accessible by car or by foot.
Located on an organic farm, Mark Farmhouse provides space, peace and tranquillity in which to relax and unwind. Modern facilities, wooden floors and comfy furniture combine with original fireplaces in several rooms. A large, yet cosy living room is the perfect room for adults to chat over a cup of tea or glass of fizz while the children play games or catch up on TV in the snug next door. A door leads from here through to the dining room. Walk through to the kitchen where you can sit and drink your morning coffee at the breakfast bar and look out towards the coast or spot the many different birds just beyond the window. A step down from the kitchen leads to the utility room, great for storing muddy boots or cleaning the dog after a walk in the fields. There is also a downstairs shower room and toilet.
Upstairs the light, double aspect, super king master bedroom overlooks the organic farmland and enjoys views towards the sea. A further two bedrooms, one of which has a super king bed and the other a king sized bed are on this floor, as well as a single bedroom. A family bathroom and separate toilet can also be found on this level. Dog friendly Beach 2 miles. Shop and pub 1 mile, restaurant 3 miles.

We had a fabulous time at the farmhouse. We loved the fruit and veg from the organic farm and the kids loved the Maize Maze. Really friendly owners. We had a small problem that was sorted immediately. The house is big, freshly painted and clean with lots of room for everyone. Exceptional beds!! Beautiful location and really lovely sitting under the trees to have meals and just watching the house martins and listening to the sheep with glorious views. The large, fully enclosed garden was great for the dogs and kids. Thank you we loved our summer holiday at Mark Farm. Lovely days out and not too far for London for a special visit with the kids.

Mark Farm House a lovely experience. Lots of spacious rooms and living rooms x2. My daughter did get a splinter on the wooden floor in the second living room though, but I’m not sure if that’s normal because of the kind of wood it is. Never the less, the rooms are so cosy, it was all so relaxing, fish and chip van that comes every so often around the corner. And if you take a drive you will find other shops etc. the only thing I would say about the property is that if you have a child that’s not so steady on their feet then the stairs is quite steep and it had us panicking a lot when the baby would want to leave the bedroom. When I asked for a high chair to begin with I was told there wasn’t one available but then I found one in the cupboard when we arrived. Overall we had a beautiful stay and were well relaxed and everyone was sad to leave. Thanks a lot for having us
