Guests say

Curlew Cottage in Clacton-on-Sea is highly praised for its stunning views, comfortable accommodation, and comprehensive amenities. Guests are captivated by the seaside location, mesmerising tides, and sunsets. The property is well-equipped for entertainment and relaxation, catering to all ages and including thoughtful touches. The approach through a holiday park is noted, but the destination's charm overshadows this.

There is no specific mention of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide an accurate score.

The location is highly praised for its stunning sea views and proximity to the beach, though the approach through a holiday park and local estate roads are considered less appealing. The captivating views upon arrival, however, seem to compensate for any initial concerns.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the living spaces accommodating for all generations. The property's setting and the provision of various amenities contribute to a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The property is lauded for its extensive facilities, including a well-appointed kitchen, entertainment options, and outdoor equipment. The provision of items such as beach towels, games, and a kayak enhances the guest experience.

The owners' thoughtfulness is evident in the detailed pre-arrival information and the provision of amenities that cater to all ages. While a welcome pack is mentioned, it should be noted that such gestures are subject to change and not guaranteed.

Our stay at Curlew was amazing! The owners kept me fully informed of everything we needed to know about the property and the local information. We booked Curlew as it was a big property to accommodate all my family and the views and location were a big plus. There was everything we needed to meet our needs from cooking to entertainment. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were comfy which isn't always the case.My granddaughter loved getting out on the beach and looking for crabs or playing with all the games that were left out for her. We all enjoyed our weekend staying here and will definitely look at booking again.

This beautiful house is in a prime location right on the sea wall overlooking the Colne Estuary. The main living space is upstairs with stunning, uninterrupted wrap-around views across the water. The owners have provided literally everything you might need. The list is exhaustive but includes soft fluffy bath towels (also dog & beach towels), picnic-ware for outside use, books, family games, large DVD collection covering all ages, smart TV etc.In addition to the versatile accommodation in the main house, there is also a wet room & separate laundry room on the lower ground level. We have have had holidays in this property so far & made some amazing memories there. We have already booked to go back again next year.

I would have given this accommodation 10stars if I could. The fantastic views are worth 5 stars all on their own! If you then add in the provision of everything you could possibly need for your stay (excluding food) and the excellent upfront communication from the hosts, you would find this place difficult to beat.
