The traditional stone cottage sits at the end of a long drive, and a flight of steps lead to its front door. Inside, you’ll find a contemporary holiday home, with crisp decor and creature comforts throughout. Unwind in the cosy lounge, which boasts underfloor heating and a warming wood burner, to read a book or watch a film on the TV/DVD. A handy utility room, with space for storing outdoor gear, completes the ground floor. Upstairs, you’ll find three tasteful bedrooms, one of which has two 2’6 beds that are ideal for children. A family bathroom rounds off this fabulous rural retreat. Outside, steps lead down to a raised terrace, boasting far-reaching views, with furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining.
Head into Hay-on-Wye to potter around the fabulous collection of bookshops, antique stores, and galleries. The town also has an excellent array of independent cafes and restaurants. After a bite to eat, why not wander down to The Warren, where you can paddle in the waters of this pretty, riverside beach?
