We had a fab family holiday (4 children aged 17 to 25) at Mum’s Place. A super location on the edge of Hay on Wye (a 10 min walk to the centre of town and 10 mins walk to the Warren where you can swim in the River). Also lovely walks in the Brecon Beacons a short drive away including Hay Bluff and Pen y Fan, the tallest mountain in the Brecon Beacons. Mums Place was spacious, extremely well equipped and had lovely gardens. We were very lucky to be able to eat outdoors every night. And the views from the front bedrooms over the fields were beautiful. We would love to have another holiday at Mum’s Place and definitely recommend it to anyone reading this review.

We loved Mum's Place and felt very much at home. We rent a lot of houses yearly and this one was one of our favorites. The garden was really lovely, and we enjoyed reading about Doreen :-) Would definitely love to come back soon...

We stayed here for three nights with my parents and our baby. It was a good fit -- lots of space for everyone, good location, well equipped kitchen. The view outside the bedroom was gorgeous. The only downside was that, while the house seems to be privately owned it is managed by a company, and they were not very easy to deal with: slow to respond, sent very confusing instructions about check in, didn't seem to know very much about the house. In the end, the owner sent us their phone number (but by that point we'd figured out how to solve the isue with the shower). For check in: the company will send you the key box code (but it's in the middle of a very long note with lots of extraneous information) and the key box is on the wall by the table in the back garden!
