No smoking.. Laundry Cottage is a charming historic Lakeland cottage, listed on the Lake District National Park Local Heritage Register and set within the peaceful Ireby Grange Estate. Beautifully restored, it blends authentic period character with modern comforts, including Wi-Fi, creating the perfect retreat for couples, families and friends.
The cottage enjoys open views towards Uldale Fell and has a lawned garden that leads directly into the surrounding woodland and estate grounds. Guests are free to explore the estate, including walks to Binsey Fell, while keeping an eye out for the abundant local wildlife, including red squirrels and deer.
Inside, the cottage offers spacious, welcoming accommodation centred around a traditional Lakeland fireplace, while providing all the comforts needed for a relaxing stay. Heating, electricity, gas, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, a cot and a highchair are all included.

We really enjoyed our stay at Laundry Cottage and the hidden gems in the woods...amazing lion's head fountain amongst many other relics from the original estate.The surrounding countryside is stunning.No local amenities nearby so guests should stock up well in advance.

This was our 2nd stay and myself and my family absolutely love staying at Laundry Cottage it's an absolute gem, It’s so peaceful, cozy and full of the oldie worldy charm, I love that it's been in the same family for generations and love the photo album that tells the history of the Cottage and surrounding grounds, the small woodland walk is a beautiful bonus to explore, and the views are breathtaking especially seeing the northern lights at night. I can not big Laundry Cottage up enough as it is so charming. There are only a few very small niggly bits that I feel needs addressing and it's that the Iron needs replacing due to exposed wires, switch on the wall by the shower room was loose. Feather pillows in the single room did cause my son to have unpleasant allergies but once removed and antihistamine given he was fine so maybe replacing them would benefit. The WiFi was very weak unfortunately. Not to sure if anyone was taking the tea spoons but there were only about 4 in the drawer not enough for 7 people.Despite the little niggles I 100% recommend Laundry Cottage 👌 We are planning our 3rd visit 😀
