Beyond the comfort of the caravan, the surrounding area offers some of the very best of the Lake District. Just a short drive away, Keswick is a vibrant market town full of character, with independent shops, cafés, and plenty of places to eat. It’s also the gateway to Derwentwater, one of the region’s most beautiful lakes. Here, you can enjoy lakeside walks, hire a boat, or simply take in the stunning mountain views reflected on the water.

In the opposite direction lies Cockermouth, a charming Georgian town known for its history and relaxed atmosphere. Birthplace of William Wordsworth, it offers a lovely mix of culture, independent shops, and cosy spots to stop for a coffee or lunch.

For those who love the outdoors, the surrounding countryside is a dream. Scenic walking routes weave through rolling hills and woodland, with opportunities for everything from gentle strolls to more challenging hikes. Whinlatter Forest Park, nearby, is perfect for both walkers and cyclists, offering trails with incredible views across the fells.
