Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere, spacious layout, and well-equipped kitchen, making it a great base for exploring the Lake District. While many found the cottage clean and comfortable, some noted areas needing attention, such as dated décor, inconsistent shower temperature, and occasional maintenance issues. Overall, visitors enjoyed their stay and would return, especially for the excellent setting and convenience.

Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, with fresh bedding and towels. However, several reviews mention issues such as stained baths, moth infestations, dust, and occasional dirty kitchenware, indicating inconsistency in cleaning standards.

The location is universally praised, with guests loving the proximity to walks, the village shop, pubs, and Keswick. The setting is described as beautiful, tranquil, and ideal for exploring the Lake District.

Guests generally found the cottage cosy and comfortable, with good beds and sofas. Some mentioned issues with mattress quality, thin duvets, and the cottage taking time to warm up, but overall comfort was positively received.

Bridge Cottage is in a beautiful location in Braithwaite with lovely walks from the doorstep. The fabric of the property is good although, unfortunately, areas within are in disrepair: the bath needs replacement; the shower curtain is mouldy; the kitchen table cover is ripped in several places and there is insufficient, (almost nonexistent), storage space for groceries.

Dirty, tired and moth infested.Ripped table cloths, stained rugs, broken bin, wonky toilet seat, stained bath, old worn and dirty sofa, mouldy curtains, rusty fridge. The main bedroom has a moth infestation and when it has been cleaned (not very well) the dead moth stains were on the walls (other than where the spiders webs had caught them in the corners of the rooms).Could be lovely as its in a great place with good space and walks from the door. Local pubs are good as is the shop over the road.Spoilt our break really as it needs some TLC and a good clean which wouldn't cost the earth. We ended up out more as we didnt want to stay in the cottage.

Spacious cottage in good location next to village shop and local pubs. Off street parking for small car. No garden. Self check-in and out. Unfortunately several things took the shine off our stay including a serious moth infestation not helped by dust on tops of cupboards, under beds etc, torn/ripped bedding, significant damp and plaster spalling in one bedroom, wonky toilet seat, broken cooker hood, and stained bath. Place would benefit from a deep clean and general upgrade.
