Cumberland Place is a spacious apartment situated in the heart of the bustling Lake District market town of Keswick. A two storey property set in an iconic Victorian slate building, which just oozes character. The private entrance at the rear of the property brings you into the boot room, ideal for storing bicycles and walking equipment on the ground floor. 13 steps take you up to the generous living room on the first floor, which boasts high ceilings and excellent views of the high street, along with a spacious, open plan kitchen/ diner. The second floor landing, with armchair, leads to two large bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, sizeable wardrobe, and chest of drawers, as well as an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is a triple; it has a double and single bed, and with the bathroom next door it makes for the perfect family bedroom. The roof top terrace is a little haven, high above the bustling high street, accessed via first floor landing, it’s a perfect place to take in the morning sunshine and views over the nearby fells. There is a designated parking space, which, if used conscientiously, will fit two small cars.
All the amenities of this vibrant town are on your doorstep, just across the road is the main shopping area with a great selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and the iconic Moot Hall. A short 5 minute stroll will take you through Hope Park to the shores of Derwentwater, where The Keswick Launch Company operate regular trips around the lake each day, with numerous drop-off points if you wish to continue on foot. Keswick is renowned for its spectacular setting, surrounded by mountains, it’s abundance of shopping and dining experiences, as well as a variety of cultural hotspots and tourist attractions, including the Derwent Pencil Museum, the Theatre by the Lake, Keswick Convention Centre and Keswick Museum and Art Gallery and are all within walking distance. Fabulous week at Cumberland Place, Keswick. The accommodation is very spacious, homely and comfortable, with two spacious bedrooms with super comfortable beds and two very large bathrooms, one en-suite, you couldn’t ask for more. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday.The location in the centre of Keswick means that everything is just a short stroll away, the onsite parking means if you don’t want to drive, you don’t have too. The details state parking is suitable for one large car or two small, we managed to park a Volvo estate and a Nissan Note in no problem.We had amazing weather which meant the roof terrace was a brilliant bonus and a little sun trap from first thing in the morning to early evening.I could find no fault with this apartment and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place in Keswick to give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Cumberland Place was an excellent centre for a Lakeland holiday. To have a designated car park space in the town was a great help. We found the beds very comfortable and there was plenty of space, including two large bathrooms. We enjoyed our stay very much. The location was very convenient for local amenities as we could walk to all the shops, avoiding the summer traffic queues.There was all the equipment you need although some of the non-stick surfaces on the saucepans was peeling off - something of a health hazard.

Such a great place to stay, so central with absolutely loads of things to do in a beautiful place. Cumberland Place is spacious and has everything you might need! We loved exploring the lakes and going to the convention. Booths is also possibly the best fancy supermarket I've been to!!
