Guests say

Elm Court 7 in Keswick is praised for its excellent, peaceful location close to the town centre, shops, and transport links. Guests appreciate the spacious layout, well-equipped kitchen, and convenient parking. While many found the flat comfortable and warm, several noted that the decor and furnishings are dated, with some maintenance and cleanliness issues. Despite these minor drawbacks, most guests enjoyed their stay and would consider returning, especially for the property's value and proximity to local amenities.

Cleanliness is generally acceptable, with several guests finding the apartment clean and tidy. However, multiple reviews mention stained carpets, tired furnishings, and occasional lapses in cleaning, such as crumbs and leftover fat in the grill. These issues suggest room for improvement.

The location is consistently highlighted as a major strength, with guests loving the proximity to Keswick town centre, supermarkets, bus station, and walking routes, all while being in a quiet and peaceful setting.

Opinions on comfort are mixed. Many guests found the flat warm and beds comfortable, but several others reported uncomfortable mattresses and pillows, as well as a general 'tired' feel to the furnishings. Some suggested mattress toppers or updates would improve comfort.

The apartment is well-equipped with kitchen essentials, Wi-Fi, and parking. Guests appreciated the spaciousness and amenities, though some reported maintenance issues such as broken furniture, faulty lights, and a problematic toilet cistern. Facilities are good but would benefit from more regular upkeep.

There are no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

The second bedroom room does not have a wardrobe or hooks to hang or store clothes. There is room for one, it just does not have one. The hallway wall has no coat hooks or shoe storage. The under worktop fridge needs the door reversing - poor access next to wall. The fridge has an ice box only and was iced up, so no use. The bathroom toilet seat is loose, the shower is fitted to the bath side wall - caution very high risk of losing balance whilst showering. Only one key set available, the apartment door is key only without an inside thumb turn lock. The carpets are stained. The location is great, with everything close by and the property has its own car parking space. The views are good. The property needs refurbishment with thought for access and usage.

Very handy to be so close to the Keswick Convention. The apartment had everything that we needed for our stay. We were sorry to see the large price increase for next year. This means we've had to look elsewhere for 2027.

Location is excellent: the apartment backs on to the River Greta and is in very close to two Supermarkets and the Bus Station. However, the apartment itself is dated and quite shabby with stained carpets that need a good clean. The toilet cistern broke twice whilst we were there. The plumber came out on the first occasion and made some adjustments to the internal mechanism when really he should have replaced everything. Not surprisingly it broke again on the morning we were leaving. Also one of the bedside lamps was not working. Tried changing the bulb but there is obviously an electrical fault. We have stayed at several apartments in Elliot Park during the past few years and they have all been furnished and maintained at a very high standard so we were very disappointed with our stay this year.
