Guests say

Gilbert's Warrant in Keswick is praised for its excellent location and spaciousness, ideal for families and pets. The property is well-equipped and offers a comfortable stay, though some guests suggest it could benefit from a decor refresh and minor maintenance. The main bathroom is notably clean and modern.

The property is generally described as clean, with a particularly clean and renovated main bathroom. However, some guests noted issues with dishwasher cleanliness and a flood incident, slightly affecting the overall perception.

The location is highly praised for being central, convenient, and within walking distance to Keswick centre and local attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.

The property is considered comfortable and cosy, suitable for large groups. However, some guests mentioned that the beds and pillows could be more comfortable, and the presence of only one shower for multiple guests was a slight inconvenience.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-stocked house and secure garden. Points were deducted for maintenance issues such as the need for a new tin opener, dishwasher attention, and a problematic key locker. The lack of a separate WC and issues with water pressure were also noted.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide a score for thoughtfulness. Guests should not expect gifts during their stay.

Exceptional residence in an ideal location. This home is perfect for a weekend getaway or a week long stay, it is a short walk into town and to the beginning of the walking trails. It is well furnished and stocked with anything you will need. If I had to nitpick I would say it could use a blind over the front window for a little bit of privacy, that however is not a deal breaker at all.

The house is a bit tired in places and needs decorating. Stair carpet tatty Having an en-suite isn’t great when you can only use 1 shower at a time ( water pressure not good and when house is full this can be an issue) however great location and amenities in the house and would book again but needs general areas upgrading
