Fantastic accommodation just a stroll from Keswick town centre and overlooking Fitz park. Very nicely decorated with a cozy feel. I would definitely stay here again.

Linton is a fabulous, well equipped house in a great location with views over the river Greta and Fitz park. A real bonus is the parking at the rear of the house. There is on street parking in nearby streets but it's not often there are spaces especially at the weekend. There are double yellow lines at the front of the houseWe arrived accompanied by storm Amy! The river was very swollen but there is a high wall between the road and the river. On entering the property there was a flood in the rear of the kitchen. The dishwasher had been left on and was malfunctioning. We phoned cottages.com, after mopping the water up. They dealt with it very well and a maintenance engineer arrived within 2 hours. The dishwasher was written off and it was disconnected. We never use a dishwasher so it didn't concern us however it was replaced during our stay. An excellent service from cottages.com.We really enjoyed our stay and Keswick itself never disappoints. The only niggle we had was the mattress on the double bed which was very firm. We have a memory foam mattress so found it uncomfortable however this is a personal thing and I'm sure others will prefer a firm mattress. There is a pub attached to Linton but during our stay we never heard anything from the pub at all.We would recommend Linton as it has everything you could possibly need as a base for your Lake District holiday.

Linton is in a great location in Keswick, with easy access to the town centre and Fritz Park (which is lovely and great for dog walks). The house is on 3 levels. The star points of the house are the lounge and main bedroom, both are a good size, well equipped and with beautiful views of the hills. The shower room is very small which isn't great as it's the only real shower option for the house. The shower over the bath in the other bathroom is ok for kids. As others have mentioned it would benefit from a shower curtain and a proper fixture so there are 2 shower options. The backyard could be set up better for outside dining/sitting when the weather allows.
