Little Hallgarth, is a pretty, two-bedroom cottage within easy walking distance of the bustling market town of Keswick. The cottage has been lovingly and skilfully refurbished by the owners, who continually strive to make their guest’s stay as perfect as possible. Ideal for a family or two couples. Leave your outdoor gear in the hallway and step into your delightful open plan lounge and dining area with attractive living flame fire in feature surround and pleasant views over the garden. Find your fully fitted and well-equipped shaker style kitchen and your vintage Ercol mid century dining table and chairs placed nearby.
Step through the glass door here and walk out onto the garden to listen to the soothing sound of the river nearby. Climb the stairs to find two pretty bedrooms: a twin bedroom and a double bedroom, both with views over the garden. The family power shower room is beautifully panelled. The whole house has been tastefully decorated with colours accented by the soft furnishings and locally sourced artwork throughout. Keswick offers specialist shops, excellent restaurants, cafes and pubs, market days twice a week, a renowned theatre, well-loved cinema and much more. Walk from the centre of Keswick, through Hope Park to the shore of beautiful Derwentwater, have a bite to eat at the Theatre by the Lakes Café, then enjoy a scenic cruise.
You will have a choice of many walking trails right from your doorstep, from low-level circular walks to more adventurous hikes up to glorious high peaks. Walk up to lovely Catbells, Skiddaw or Latrigg, known as Keswick’s own fell. So much to see and do with a stay at Little Hallgarth.
The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater. With plenty of attractions for the kids, lovely parks and the nearby Lake District Wildlife Park this is a great Lakeland destination whatever the time of year.

We didn't find the main bed comfy but note nobody else has said this so must be personal preference but very springy/little support for us. Used the twin ones instead. Great location and so beautifully decorated. Right near Keswick Park Run! and close to Town Centre. Ideal for walks straight from the door. Set up with everything you could need for a lovely stay. Thank you!

One of the best lets we have stayed in Keswick. Perfect for furry friends as garden is completely enclosed and you can walk straight to the park from the back gate along the river. The bed was comfy and the sitting room cosy with a fully equipped kitchen complete with air fryer. The cottage was decorated for Christmas with festive lighting for a homely feel. Thank you to Emma and David. We have already booked to come back.

We stayed over the Christmas period and the cottage was so cozy and Christmassy and perfectly located to Keswick - a short a beautiful walk into the centre. The place had everything we needed including a lovely garden. A perfect place to stay anytime of the year - thanks so much for the gifts also!
