We've been coming to Oak Apple House on and off for over 15 years now, and in they time it has been improved and updated beyond belief ..... however over the past couple of years we have noticed that it's starting to look a little "tired" and could do with a kick of paint here and there and just a little tlc here and there.Years ago guests used to have a little "welcome" pack but that is not the case now, and we've learned over the years to bring our own washing up and laundry essentials, and of course Booths and Co-Op are just a few minutes walk away. The main bedroom bed is lovely and comfortable, whereas the second king size bed could do with a new mattress. The kitchen is well stocked which is often not the case in other places we've stayed.One thing we noticed is that when we had a hail and rain storm that water did come through the gap in the side door opposite the downstairs toilet, and like the main door it's not completely sealed as replacement doors should be.Overall Oak Apple House is truly home from home and each time stayed there we've always had wonderful holiday and a truly warm, inviting and comfortable stay .... but it could do with some attention and tlc to make it an exceptional house.

A lovely house, comfortable and spacious. Super location with ample parking. It would benefit from minor improvements such as suitable dining chairs, a better toaster, some wine glasses and towel rail in downstairs toilet needs fixing. We had a lovely week and would definiately consider using this property again when visiting Keswick.
