Whitrow Farm Cottage is the perfect base to explore the Western Lake District. A converted barn with original features, that includes open plan living on the ground floor and 2 good sized bedrooms, one double and one twin, and a bathroom on the first floor. The cottage garden wraps around 2 sides of the property, and is fully enclosed and secure. There is a large lawn, a gravel area suitable for additional parking and a picnic bench. Exiting through the top garden gate will lead you into the 3 acre compound that is solely for your own use during your stay making it a really special and secluded place for your holiday.

Whitrow Farm Cottage is roughly 300 years old and adjacent to the owners own property located in Waberthwaite. The property has 2 good sized bedrooms, one double and one twin, and a bathroom on the first floor. The ground floor is one large kitchen/living area, which has underfloor heating & wood burning stove.

The cottage garden wraps around 2 sides of the property, and is fully enclosed and secure. There is a large lawn, a gravel area suitable for additional parking and a picnic bench for Al fresco dining. Exiting through the top garden gate will lead you into the 3 acre compound that is solely for your own use during your stay. There are designated footpaths throughout the banking area, a stream that runs right through and also a large grassed section. There is a dog agility set for you to use should you wish. This space is also totally enclosed ensuring all guests and furry companions are safe during your visit.

Waberthwaite is situated on the West Coast of Cumbria, within the Lake District National Park, a few miles to the south of Ravenglass, home to the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway. To the West we look out over the estuaries of the rivers Esk and Irt, to the Irish Sea and the Isle of Man. To the North and East we look towards Eskdale and across the valley to Muncaster Fell and Castle, famous for its 70 acres of beautiful gardens and also for the Hawk and Owl Centre which is situated in the castle grounds. Dogs are welcome at many pubs in the area. Wasdale is within easy reach and provides access to all of the Western Fells including Scafell, Scafell Pike and Great Gable while Eskdale provides gentler walking. We are very close to miles and miles of quiet but beautiful beaches, including Eskmeals, Silecroft, Drigg and Seascale. Recommended places to visit are St Bee's, Seascale and Eskdale.
