Guests say

Ellarbeck Cottage is a cosy, comfortable retreat set in a peaceful rural location with beautiful views and friendly, welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate its well-equipped kitchen, warm atmosphere, and suitability for both walkers and dog owners. The cottage serves as an excellent base for exploring the Lake District and nearby attractions. While most found it clean and well-maintained, a few noted areas for improvement in cleanliness and WiFi. Overall, visitors enjoyed the tranquil farm setting, the opportunity to watch animals, and the relaxing environment, making it a popular choice for a quiet countryside getaway.

Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, but a few mentioned issues such as dated towels, a bathroom carpet smell, and a desire for a higher standard of cleanliness. The majority of reviews, however, were positive regarding cleanliness.

The rural, peaceful location with stunning views is highly praised, especially for those seeking tranquillity and access to the Lake District. Some noted the distance to amenities and lack of mobile signal, but most found the setting ideal for relaxation and exploring the area.

Guests frequently described the cottage as cosy, comfortable, and warm, with effective heating and a lovely wood burner. A minority mentioned older, less comfortable beds, but overall comfort was rated highly.

The cottage is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and provides everything needed for a pleasant stay. Some guests noted slow WiFi and suggested minor improvements (e.g., better frying pan, clearer signage), but facilities generally met or exceeded expectations.

The hosts are repeatedly described as friendly, welcoming, and helpful, often checking in to ensure guests' comfort and offering local recommendations. While some guests mentioned thoughtful gestures, please note that gifts or special touches are not guaranteed.
