The Langdale Retreat is a perfect hideaway for lovers of this magnificent part of the Lake District, and for those visiting for the first time. Part of a larger property in the village of Chapel Stile, this two bedroomed holiday home is ideal for couples to share. The village itself is blissfully quiet with a small shop, café and wonderful Wainwright’s Inn. Should a change of pace be in order, the bustling village of Ambleside is only four miles away, offering a great choice of restaurants and cafés as well as two independent cinemas, interesting shops and great places to stock up on groceries.

Outside the property and close to the entrance porch is parking for one car. The porch leads into a generous open plan sitting room with large picture windows perfectly framing the view down the Langdale Valley. Comfy sofas are arranged round the wood burning stove, the ideal spot for relaxing after a bracing walk on the fells. Outside is a stunning sun terrace with bistro style furniture, somewhere special for a morning coffee or just to soak up that view.

To the rear of the sitting room is a well-equipped kitchen/diner, with everything needed to whip up a tasty supper. When it comes to sleeping arrangements, the first of the two king size rooms is on the ground floor and comes with en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom is up a short flight of stairs and this too has a private bathroom.

The location is perfect for a walking holiday in the Lake District, taking in England’s highest tarn or nearby Scafell Pike.
