Hollin Bank is a fantastic place to stay for a quiet picturesque location. For anyone wanting this type of holiday where you can walk and take in the beautiful Lake District it is ideal. We personally found everything was as we expected, we had read the reviews before hand and found some comments a little OTT, everyone has their opinion. One thing we thought was for the sign at the bottom of the track needs to be clearer and as Hollin Bank sleeps 6 one parking space was a little difficult to deal with.We would recommend Hollin Bank and would concider a revisit.

We have just returned from Hallin Bank 4 nights stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The views from the cottage are beyond amazing! There are few gorgeous paths available near the cottage. The location is remote but that is the beauty of it,We even managed to get Sainsbury's shopping delivered to the house. Highly recommend for an unforgettable stay.

Very remote, house is ok and clean. Garden is more a jungle and definitely not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. Would have been nice if the grass had been cut. We had a fast dripping tap which was very annoying and we had to temporarily secure with some string but the bathrooms were amazing. WiFi was ok bearing in mind the remoteness of the cottage. Sad thing was we went with the intention of watching the World Cup but there was no signal at all for the tiny tv that was in the property. Tried to contact Cottages.com but with no phone signal we tried online and all we kept getting was waiting for next available operative then it would eventually time out. Really poor service. The owner did reply and made suggestions that didn’t work but again suggested contacting Cottages.com so a catch 22 really.
