With the three kingsize bedrooms all on the same floor, master bedroom with oversized private bathroom, plus another with an option to split into twin beds, this exceptional lodge will have you feeling in total comfort in no time.
Situated in the small, rural village of Great Strickland in the Eden Valley, just 2 miles from the Lake District National Park and 6 miles from Ullswater. It benefits from easy access to the M6, and there are peaceful country lanes for cycling and walking on the Lakeland Fells or Pennine Hills. There is a village pub serving food, 100 yards from the house, with excellent amenities in Penrith just 5 miles.

Lovely stunning large lodge with easy access to Lake District It is located at front of holiday park entrance at side of a farm so can have some farm smells but we don’t mind that part of the country life! Will definitely return

We had a fantastic stay at The Oaks and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The space was well laid out, cosy, and felt like a real home away from home.The location was ideal — peaceful yet convenient — making it easy to unwind while still being close to local amenities. We also really appreciated the attention to detail throughout the property, which made our stay extra special.Overall, The Oaks exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for high-quality accommodation. Absolutely beautiful Lodge. Spotlessly clean on arrival, beds are super comfortable and the most spacious and well designed lodge we have ever stayed in. Everything you need for a perfect stay. Bonus was it was decorated for Christmas also. Location excellent for a base to explore the Northern Lakes like Keswick only half an hour away by car. Ullswater & Pooley Bridge only a few miles away. We also visited Lowther Castle which was only 3 miles or so from The Oaks ( lovely for an afternoon exploring the gardens & castle ruins ) Great Strickland if a wonderful little village! Thank you Lyndsey for a fabulous stay, we will hopefully be back in the future. Megan, Liz & Delilah.
