A delightful kitchen with dining area is ideally equipped for rustling up a feast for your loved ones, and why not head outside to dine alfresco on the patio whilst watching the lambs play, or simply sit back and listen to the gentle breeze rustle through the treetops? A good night's sleep is guaranteed in this tranquil haven, with a twin bedroom set on the ground floor and six steps leading up to the double and the bathroom.

The picturesque village of Hawkshead still retains the charm and character that so endeared it to its most famous residents - William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter. Cars are banned from the village, leaving visitors free to wander the wealth of tiny alleyways, thoroughfares, archways and courtyards between the whitewashed 17th Century houses. With stunning scenery and numerous attractions within easy touring distance, Hawkshead is in an ideal location at any time of the year.

Walks straight from the front door. Accommodation tastefully decorated and furnished, a home from home. Just a few minor issues, lack of pans with lids and slow draining kitchen sink. Overall would strongly recommend Dove Cottage

Very clean and had almost all the things we needed. Would benefit from having a vacuum cleaner and a clothes line or rail available to guests. Would not recommend the walk to the swimming pool to the less able bodied but can be accessed by car.
