We had a really good stay at Helm View. Some fabulous pros and a couple of cons.. Pros:I was in absolute awe that a reasonably short walk offered such fantastic panoramic views of Windermere. The beds were all super comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed with a nice big fridge to fit in a good shop. Loved the big porch to walk into first and remove those muddy boots. Lovely warm cottage (and I get cold). Cons: Only one shower - downstairs - you have to walk through the whole open plan living area to get to it. Shame that the towels were not large enough to go around an adult. Should you add an upstairs shower we would love to come back. But I am sure you don’t have a problem getting bookings so I doubt it’s high on the priority list. Some simple improvements would be: adding coat hooks along the corridor. And maybe some boot cupboards under a low level bench in the porch. Upstairs I would add some large rugs for a bit of comfort and to make movement a little quieter. Overall we had a great stay - but this property could be fantastic with a couple of simple changes.

A good location, ideal if you want a quiet weekend away. Could do with some modernising, tv is prehistoric and no info on how it works. Some attention to the little things would go a long way, I.e wood provided for fire but no matches.
