Pack up your binoculars and follow the River Wensum through the surrounding countryside and onto Sparham Pools Nature Reserve (0.5 miles), where kingfishers, waterfowl and other native species gather around the former gravel pits. Younger members of the group will love meeting the exotic creatures at The Bug Parc (1.5 miles) or spending the day tackling dinosaur trails and outdoor play areas at ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure (3 miles). The city of Norwich (14 miles) has so much to explore, including a market, independent shops, a cathedral and a castle, while the pretty village of Wroxham (17 miles) is the place to hire a boat and cruise the Norfolk Broads. There are several coastal hotspots nearby, such as Wells-next-the-Sea, Blakeney, and Sheringham (all within 25 miles).
