Stable Cottage in Thetford, Norfolk, receives positive feedback for its spaciousness, well-equipped kitchen, and beautiful setting. Guests appreciate the friendly owners and the rural charm, with fresh eggs and proximity to animals being highlights. Some concerns about Wi-Fi, TV signal, and steep stairs are noted, but overall, guests enjoy the peacefulness and recommend the property for a relaxing stay.
Most guests found the cottage very clean, with only a few mentioning cobwebs and dust in hard-to-reach areas. The property seems well-maintained, but a deeper clean may enhance the experience.
The cottage's rural and quiet setting is appreciated, though some guests find it more remote than expected. Access to local amenities and attractions requires driving, but the peaceful environment is a plus for many.
The cottage is described as cosy and warm, with a spacious downstairs area. However, the steep stairs and low headroom in some areas may pose challenges for young children and the elderly.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living areas. Some guests suggest improvements such as additional bathrooms and better lighting. The steep stairs and occasional issues with Wi-Fi and TV signal are noted.
While guests mention warm welcomes and friendly interactions with the owners, there are no specific references to gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

We were able to ask for help or clarify anything we needed as we weren't from the area. It is a budget holiday so you aren't going to get bells and whistles but you do get a really great break in a lovely, albeit slightly dated, space with most the necessities for what you pay, so it's worth it depending on your priorities at the time. I would suggest perhaps having a kitchen towel roll and a cleaning spray for tables/surfaces. Otherwise, getting your shopping delivered is handy and bring along your own fire wood as there wasn't any there (but I didn't Tony for any to be fair as I did have my own, so there might have been some available had I asked). The stairs and additional mattress beds on the floor will not be suitable for taller or older people in my opinion just due to the logistics and size but our little ones were fine and loved it! Outside space is limited and exactly as you see in the pictures but there is lots to drive to if you've got a driver with you and it's all very beautiful indeed and I was even able to work from the bench outside with a cuppa as we were able to catch some lovely autumn sun. We were warm, cosy and away from the hustle & bustle of the city which is what we really wanted.
