Guests say

Glan y Gors is a traditional Welsh cottage in North Wales & Snowdonia, appreciated for its comfortable accommodation, stunning views, and good location for walking and hiking. Guests have enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, responsive host, and thoughtful touches like a welcome pack and festive decorations. The spacious property with a garden is suitable for large groups, families, and pets.

Mixed feedback on cleanliness, with several guests noting the property could benefit from a deeper clean, particularly in the kitchen and living areas. Some guests found it satisfactory, while others encountered issues with dust, grime, and mustiness.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views and proximity to walking trails and local attractions. It is described as peaceful and ideal for outdoor activities, although some guests suggested better directions could be provided.

Guests found the property warm and comfortable, with a good supply of hot water and an open fire. However, some furniture was reported as 'well-worn' or 'uncomfortable', and there were comments about the need for updating bedding and seating.

Facilities were generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and ample parking. However, there were reports of maintenance issues such as a leaking shower, broken appliances, and the need for clearer instructions for the fireplace and electronics.

Guests mentioned appreciative gestures like a welcome pack and a decorated house for Christmas, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as these gifts are based on personal experiences and may not be consistent for all stays, they should not be expected as guaranteed.

An excellent retreat at any time of the year.

Llanberis is dwarfed by the imposing Mount Snowdon; the highest mountain in England and Wales. Many walkers and climbers are drawn by the challenge of Snowdon, but it is also possible to experience the views from the summit by taking the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Llanberis is located in the Snowdonia National Park and offers other attractions for those interested in unspoilt scenery, abundant wildlife and the variety of activities offered by the great outdoors. For a more relaxed approach, Llanberis is well-served by restaurants, pubs and shops and there are a number of tourist attractions within a short drive, such as Caernarfon Castle and National trust properties at Penrhyn and Plas Newydd.

The interior looks better in real life than the photos, although we spent the majority of our time in the back garden which was perfect. loads of parking which was very handy. The kitchen has everything you need for a group of 10.
