Colbridge Cottage was an excellent choice for our winter break. No problem whatsoever parking right outside the front door every day we were there. The garden was totally secure for Trev, our Jackapoo. The cottage was warm, the Economy 7 heating system working well in the rooms it was in with supplementary heating, including a woodburner (which we didn’t use), if required. Excellent facilities with a particularly useful washing machine and tumble dryer in the garden outhouse. It was too cold to spend any time in the conservatory but it was an ideal place to get cleaned up after a day out walking before going into the cottage. At over 6’ tall I had to remember to duck through all the doors but I knew that would be the case before I arrived and it wasn’t an issue for me. Beds were comfy. The village Spar shop is very good, as is the nearby fish and chip shop, and the Monday mobile pizza van. Docking is an excellent village location for travelling to numerous nearby destinations and the cottage was a perfect base to return to.

This cottage is gorgeous, in a lovely location and was warm and cosy during our winter stay. The lounge is particularly comfortable and welcoming, and the rest of the cottage was well appointed and felt homely. We enjoyed it so much we hope to return soon!
